I'll add Zac is fiercely loyal to his team mates.
When the story of the pre season fight broke between Zac and Junz, the media incorrectly named Zac.
He kept his mouth shut and wore the blame.

You should only believe about 5% of what the media prints and about 50% of what coaches say.

You know I never reached the dizzying heights of 1st grade. My vocation of 39 yrs protecting and serving the community put me in good stead. I received numerous expert training. One of them was reading body language in an individual. Nobody knows what another person is really like inside so you are heavily guided by what you hear and see by that person's words and actions. I don't personally know Zac Lomax but what I have witnessed both in person watching him play, and from afar and to my eye he has displayed the qualities of a person with good character. I for one will miss him pulling on the big red v but alas life and footy go on.

A 5/8 did a kick which almost yielded 6 points? Extend him for a mil a year! I bet Hunt wishes you gave him 1/10th as easy a pass.
Yea we get it you have a hate boner for the Flannos, everyone is very well aware of your constant negative bias bullshit. Win or lose, regardless of how good the performance is or even in unrelated discussion (this thread a perfect example) you always find a way to shoehorn Kyle into every second comment and have a cry about him and/or his dad. The fact is we have made significant improvements this year across the board, and he is part of that. No matter how many times you keep repeating yourself, Kyle is not our biggest issue right now.

Lomax is a big loss, no doubt, but he is not irreplaceable and I look forward to either an exciting signing or a great opportunity for our young blokes to stand up and fight for the spot.

Yep! Annoys me so much he was picked up off the NRL scrap heap just because he is the coaches son. What happened to players getting a contract based on merit!!?? Or you think a 5/8 putting a short kick in that almost resulted in a try is good enough? Should we put it down as "an almost try assist"? So in his best game, probably ever, he got a try assist and an almost try assist.

How about stop being such a whingy clown and actually be objective for once? If your too dense to see the improvement on our left with Flanno filling this weird hybrid 5/8 semi game manager role that Hunt has forced us to have (due to his garbage ball hog leadership skills as the 7) thats fine. Fact is he's been an improvement of the last few guys we've had in the 6 that struggled in an awkward role, playing a position he wasn't signed to play. Also a fact that we look more structured in both attack and defense with him there and its no coincidence that the games we win are the ones Hunt shares the load more.

I don't look at how much the team has improved but how good it is. Improvement could be out down to any number of things or any combination of things. Why are you so much against contracts being given out on merit, rather than on the basis of being the coaches son?

This is what happened so far in regard to Kyle:
  • Not wanted at Bulldogs or anywhere else despite the well documented problem they had with halves still now.
  • Flanno knows the problem with Amone is coming to a head when he is hired.
  • He lets Bud Sullivan go.
  • Flanno says he signed Kyle to play hooker.
  • Amone suspended and released.
  • Flanno says Kyle will play 5/8.
  • Zac Lomax puts his hand up to fill in at 5/8 and Flanno immediately slaps him down publicly. Why was that?
  • Next thing we hear Zac wants a release and he's promptly granted the release. It's like Flanno just didn't like him for one reason or another. i wonder why?
  • We get into the season and it's about as I expected. Has so few try assists and line break assists it's a sick joke.
  • Hunt gone for Origin and Flanno is interviewed before the match. Asked specifically about Kyle taking on more of the game management. Flanno immediately passes the busk and insists "Jesse Marschke will be doing that."
  • To Jesse Marschke's credit, he did do that. Better in his one game than Flanno in any of his 15. But still dropped for the next game which I think was the second Roosters game. Flanno had probably his worst game yet but Jesse Marschke still can't get a chance. Why isn't anyone angry about Jesse Marschke not getting another chance? Aced his first but dropped anyway. I'm furious about it.
  • It really seems to me Flanno is placing what is good for Kyle above what is good for the team and club.

Unfortunately for as many years that I wish to remember we have been hampered by our inability to recruit a genuine 2nd play maker. In affect we have been a 1 trick pony when it came to running our structured attacking plays. There was hope initially for home grown talent , Sullivan/Amone come to mind but unfortunately that last step was too big a step for both. I have personally been involved on more than one occasion as a coach to rebuild not only a team but also a culture. It starts with the head coach and works it way down to your support staff. I do believe we now have a coach that fits the bill and has more than 1 plan. I agree we have improved but we won't be playing semi finals football again this season with our current spine. Flanagan jnr is not a organising 5/8 but he has done his best under the circumstances. The issue to my eye is our captain who has his hands on the ball far too often in my opinion and refuses to delegate responsibility to others believing rightly or wrongly that he needs to have involvement. The lack of a genuine big bodied prop means we cannot consistently make the advantage line which places pressure on our 1 current play maker and the results are there too see. It's far easier for the opposition to target one side of the ruck. Just my views

Why doesn't anyone have any sympathy for Jesse Marschke? Aced his one chance as opposed to Kyle.

I'm no fan of Kyle but to be fair, in the Penrith game, Jesse Marschke clearly outplayed Kyle. In the second chance Jesse Marschke got, I think Kyle outplayed him. We just have the worst spine probably in the competition. Actually, I'd say unheralded Jacob Little has been our best and most consistent spine member.
