The power game took over and Sowie was very slow to adapt to it. Then according to
Mug Fan and backed up by the fact soooo many good players left, he couldn't establish a good relationship with the team. He lost the change room in a big way, as they say.But I believe we have turned the corner in NRLW as well. I watched both games vs Donkeys and Rorters and in both games our girls were right in it. Possibly even the better team until halftime but eventually the much bigger opposition ran away with the game late. I think it's not an exaggeration to say, across the park the Donkeys and Rorters are 15-20% heavier.

Great to see the Broncos signing Jesse Southwell from the Knights, just to make sure that the 2026 NRLW GF will be between the Broncos and the Roosters again.. I know I know its up to the other teams to get better, but....

The Wests Tigers have signed Raecene McGregor as the only loss so far for 2026 and the Dragons have gained Brooke Anderson from the NRLW Sharks.

Kiwi Ferns halfback and co-captain Raecene McGregor will leave the Dragons for the Wests Tigers for the 2026 and 2027 seasons.
Alongside extensions to star players like Zali Hopkins and Hannah Southwell, the Dragons have given a contract extension to 18-year-old star Indie Bostock until the end of 2027.

I dont consider this a great loss Dave, she wasn't ageing well and you could see the writing on the wall when she didn't play, there was some bullshit excuse that her business was not doing so well, and neither was she.

Even without any significant signings, this team will be much better. A few of them will come back a couple of kgs heavier and a few of the 18~19 year-olds are going to be that much better. And Teagan Berry is only about 23 or 24. She will get better yet unless she is impregnated. But unfortunately it looks like they'll be competing for 3rd spot. The BIG Doneys and Rorters will be ahrd to beat at least for next year as well.
