Lawson is running hard, but hasnt quite made it work, he had a few runs today I thought he would have scored but got cut down, could have passed.. t
He starved Finau. Stick him on the wing where he only has to run. Actually dont mind the idea of Finau playing centre. I'd give him a crack in Sulis place with him going to the edge. Finau has to be playing top grade. Unfortunately Flanagan dont see it that way.

Si must be dissapointed...
You betcha. Flanno is forcing him out of the club in choosing the inferior Feagai ahead of him. Understandable as he inexplicably extended him, so has to avoid wearing egg on face if not playing him. But Buchanan too, who imo, like MF is not in same class, must be a massive double whammy. We fans need more transparency from our coaches and big wigs over our players.

I am sensing Latu's mind is in turmoil going on his body language. He spilled a ball cold early on in a strong attacking position and never quite looked the danger man he has been to date. Dont blame him to be honest as he is prob bitterly disappointed he has not been extended same as Loko Jr and Jake. The fact he asked to test the market and has even viewed another clubs facilities, spells out clearly that at the least, he is contemplating leaving us. This MUST NOT HAPPEN BOD.

there must be something in his game Flanno isnt happy with, or he doesnt want him playing before he extends (if he extends).. cause the kid is dynamite.. hes well and truly done his time in cup..
I think at this point, it's only a question of what Flanno has against him personally.

Expecting a fair bit of the dross in Jersey flegg to drop out for the SG ball boys this week.

They’ll be a far better watch with Reed and co. In the side

Last year there was weeks or even a month delay between the Dragons SG crew moving up, but they also played a full finals series..

Reed and DMeafou are named, if Heidke is fit surely he goes up.. few others we dunno, TPH @6 and Afu on the wing are a little odd... CST is already there.

I thought Langdon/Phillips/Saifiti might have got a call up too.

Im sure there’s valid reasons guys that are part of a team that’s got a 1-4-1 record so far kept their spots

Elsewhere, the Dragons’ rugby sevens recruit Nathan Lawson is turning heads in NSW Cup. The 26-year-old, who joined the club on a development contract this season, finished with a game-high of 213 running metres against the Roosters, while also setting up a try.

Lawson, who is playing wing and centre, now has a try and four try assists in five games and is averaging 130 running metres per game. Lawson is a two-time Olympian and is the reigning Australian Men’s Rugby Sevens Player of the Year.

It’s Sione Finau though who is more likely to replace the injured Christian Tuipulotu this week on the wing. 23-year-old Finau, who has two NRL games to his name, bagged a double on the weekend and ran 194 metres.

Flanno is like, "Nope. I'm going with Matt Feagai." Every Dragons supporter is seemingly scratching his or her head.

  • The thing that got my attention first of all was the 18th man.
  • Other than that, seems not much is changing with this team. Why would it? Young team keeps on winning.
  • Now #6 has re-signed all attention turns to #13. Hope he re-signs but if he does, they are going to have to decide which very good young forwards to let go of. I wish we could keep all of them but not realistic.
  • Looking forward to seeing how #7 goes if he isn't called up in the team on the left.
  • He'll be partnering with a new halves partner.
  • Other than that, please correct me if I'm wrong but not much has changed with this losing team. Hopefully the main problem before was the halves and this new combo has them firing.

Lyric and Tobias should be in centres with Jake on the edge.

Yep, no attack structure. Reed should rectify that, tho a lot on his shoulders. Be interested to see how, he, Meafou, Heidke handle this step up. Tikinau unlucky as imo he reads the game better than Baldock. Dont mind Peckam-Harris in a play making role, but surprised Fitzgibbon has not been promoted as he and Reed have built a good combo. Fagalilo must be injured as Metcalf at hooker.

Gheez they look awful so far, understandabke for some of the SG ball boys that have moved up today but Treweek/Pring/TPH the less said the better

Realised I was in the wrong thread, they arent jr rep players as of this week lol..
========================================================
Flegg backline looks like its never played together... which ofcourse it hasn't :p, all the passes going to ground, Reed adjusting (bit better in the back end of the half).. Borg let in a soft try on the wing, obviously not a winger although he could be.. but id put Borg back to fullback asap, get the SGBall 7&1 back together, I dont rly understand why Pring is there.. seems a level below whats needed... id even have TPH in front of him... but really neither I think.

Heidke is coming in looking for the ball now cause hes seeing it at all.. and Jacob isnt looking to pass (been put on the right to accomodate treweek i assume)... scored that try to I hope turn the tide.. but a poor first half will be hard to turn around.

Note: Leaking 8pts in injury time leading into 1st half is crazy.. i assume its a kiwi ref hes rly not liking us..
