Todd Payten has to be one of the most bizarre coaches in rugby league
Sometimes I think he’s great and other times I think he’s lucky to still be in the job
Don’t think they’ll be sacking him this season and can’t see any other team who’s close to sacking their coach
If it really is Hornby I’d love to know the reasoning from Creagh/Watsford and co.

How good is that young Tom Chester going! Coming back from multiple ACL injuries, he’s lightning fast, incredibly competitive, great defender. Gee I wish he was off contract so we could chase him. Very impressive.

Its hard cause a roster like the Cows is f***ing amazing.. if they arent competing for Top4/Top6 maybe.. the coach is underdelivering.. I dont think I'd want Payten here anyway, I think he would struggle without the superstar roster.. but supposedly we were chasing someone else from the cows system.. I assume its a player not a coach. Also dont know what this means for Young, does he move on? Cows assistant or elsewhere? Or Hornby maybe wants him still... Hornby + Young did a little coaching together iirc... or maybe Hornby also wants a clean break.. with just Talau to be the bridge to the playerbase.. the thing is we have like 5 months to find a new assistant if needed.. this is not rushed.
But the cows definitely on song this year.. they held us to 0 also.. but defensively they were gr8 tonight also... one of the things that um Ben Gardiner spoke about is players need to make their 1on1 tackles now.. u cant out-system anyone.. and many times tonight I saw the Cows centres or wingers make those 1on1's.. its stuff that we dont do.. we are always missing those moments and its an instant 6pt miss.

He’ll probably get the shits and f*ck off somewhere else anyway if he doesn’t get the job
Get a completely new staff picked by Hornby and let him start fresh. (I’d make an exception for Willie Talau)
I do think they should come to a HC decision in the next 2-3 weeks about who they get. Give them as much time to plan for the role and get their staff in order

Big heart yesterday Cody ..... a try and great try saving tackles...... with an almighty bomb catch around 3 cowboys and long run something I havnt seen one of our players do for a few years.

Watching the Titans V Knights you have to wonder how bad we were to lose to these 2 sides. Against the Knights they just took us every time on the outside with our plodder OB's and the game against the Titans we just self imploded with a horrible display. Watching today both sides are well below average and we should have beaten both. Just goes to show the lack of quick players we have but looking forward to next year though where we are already on the improve in the speed department.

Best thing about that game was watching Hunt's bottom lip dragging along the ground and once again he did nothing to help them get out of trouble and neither did Ma'am. Reynolds tried his guts out.
