it always amazes me that when a team gets flogged(cowboys) one of the excuses is the players didn’t turn up. And we have used that excuse as well.
Well excuse me for being critical, you are a professional in the NRL, you have all week to sort yourself out personally and training, why haven’t you turned up ? You are being paid a lot of money to turn up, as the once mighty Johnny Raper said, if you don’t perform you should give back your match payments and hang your head in shame.

Exactly. Playing competitive sport and being paid handsomely for doing it means that a player has reached a standard of professionalism and should always aim to give his all in every game. When I played any sport I would give it all and never, ever give up. It seems to me that the Roosters came to Townsville with the aim of winning the game while the Cowboys put aside that aim and played accordingly. It didn't take long for the Roosters team as a whole sensing that the Cowboys would be easy meat last night and once they had put 3 easy tries on them, the Roosters just carved the Cowboys up. Generally you can sense it when a team is only half hearted in playing. As we know the Roosters have a great team of players - including one guy in particular who was on our books last year - he played really well - Cody Ramsey. We again did not do our due diligence with another good player gone.

Sam Walker is one great halfback. His price to remain at the Roosters will be huge.

I guess not Justa. How is it then that the Roosters did? They must have known that he could be helped and once they could get that help they would have an ace. Knowing how influential Uncle Nick is they most probably had a good specialist in the field of gastroenterology look at his condition and that specialist decided on the best treatment, he is now capable to show his worth. The Roosters invested in a good specialist and took a big risk, which possibly when Ramsey was at the Dragons he made his own choice of a doctor rather than the Dragons doing their bit to help him. So now there is no looking back and its full throttle with the Roosters.

I read earlier somewhere Cody is being paid $140,000 or $180,000 ?........ not much of a risk on that money especially as he was under our nose as captain and best player in the cup team.

The club was in a pretty f@&ked up place when Ramsay had to make a decision. Mind you we hadn’t won the wooden spoon either so go figure. Should be interesting the next time we play them.

Watched him earlier this year against Steelers and he was immense, going to be a class player

If I was them I’d happily move Munster on, declining and frankly overrated his whole career. Never come close to winning a dally m unlike his spine teammates

Close competition. If refs were a bit fairer and KF wasn't in the team, Dragons would've won 6 or 7 games.

They are the real falls from grace. The mighty Dragons are being reassembled and watch us fire in 2027.

They are the real falls from grace. The mighty Dragons are being reassembled and watch us fire in 2027.

We are still short a good winger and centre unless Buchanan or Heidke can step up. Other than that, very good team next year.

I think if we can retain JH and LPT then we are set in the forwards. We need to find a 9 after Watson leaves, not sure what the plans will be for someone like Nikorima. center worries me,haven’t seen enough of Heidke don’t think Buchanan cuts it, just my thoughts though.

The issue isnt that he wasnt being selected ... It was around the way he was dropped/communicated with and not being held to the same level of accountability as Kyle.

Anasta knows that Ilias is mid, but so is Kyle. When the club communicated things to Ilias about what to do and he worked on that for no result yet Kyle was gifted a free pass that is when Anasta got his nose out of joint advocating for his client.

Yep agree. Some of our darkest days in recruiting and team selection were under Flanno. Apart from the fact that Flanno didn’t want anyone interfering with KF’s career.Illias was never our answer and Flanno knew it and used him as a scape goat. Still now there are certainly no questions on Illias”s ability at the Titans. He is crap and Anasta knows it.
