Rate the Dragons for this year

Tyrell Sloan 5/10 Not much improvement.
You are kidding. Kick return, pressure bombs, one on one defense, chiming into the line. All big improvement. Too much is being expected of this guy too soon in his career. Whether he stays at the back or moves to the wing or centre he will give us good worth into the future. I 'd swap the ratings of Hunt and Flanagan too.

As for Sloan, last year his rating would have been 3 or 4 at best. So 5 is an improvement. As for Hunt and Flanno, if you are talking about value for money, I think you're right but as I said, those ratings are not considering how much they are on.

I'd be happy too if I was getting paid good money and failed at my job and no one really cared .........
It was tongue in cheek personally to me it just goes to show the mindset of individuals and the team as a playing group. To let slip a good chance to be playing this weekend by our inept performances over the last 3 weeks should have wiped smiles off faces. To me it says well we overachieved she's sweet.

You're a hard marker. Even funerals have a wake and they don't want for a month after the event.

The Dragons tonight hosted the 2024 Dragons Medal at the WIN Entertainment Centre with Jaydn Su’A taking home the night's top gong.

In his third season with the Red V, Su’A claimed his maiden Dragons Medal as the NRL side's Player of the Year.

The 26-year-old made 22 appearances this season earning a State of Origin recall for the Maroons mid-year.
Su’A finished the year with a career-highs in tries scored (9), run metres (2,591), tackles (604) and offloads (30) whilst playing his 50th game for the club in Round 24.

Ben Murdoch-Masila was named the Club Person of the Year due in large part to his role in mentoring the club's younger players, organising team bonding sessions, and going above and beyond his regular commitments whilst rehabbing a season-ending foot injury.

Zac Lomax was awarded the Red V Members Player of the Year Award having pieced together a stellar season which resulted in a State of Origin debut for the Blues in June.

The 24-year-old led the team in tries (14), runs (437), run metres (3,594) and offloads (50) whilst also becoming the third player in club history to reach 800 career points.

Tom Eisenhuth was awarded the Immortals Trophy in his first season as a Dragon having not missed a game all year and achieved career-highs in tackles (908), run metres (1,613), and offloads (23).

A workhorse back rower, Eisenhuth made 40 or more tackles in seven clashes this season including a tremendous 66 against rivals the Sharks in Round 9.

The Immortals Trophy seeks to reflect on what the Immortals represent in attitude, commitment, and dedication across all aspects of athletic and professional endeavour.

Lyhkan King-Togia received the Geoff Selby Memorial Trophy for NRL Emerging Talent, which honours the former Dragon and Steeler who tragically passed away in 1989.

The 19-year-old made his NRL debut in the side's Round 24 win over the Titans at WIN Stadium and appeared in the final four games of the season scoring a maiden try in the side's season finale.
A Dalby Devils junior, King-Togia began the year with the Steelers' SG Ball side before progressing through to Jersey Flegg and eventually The Knock-On Effect NSW Cup where he scored five tries and assisted on six others in 10 outings.

Jacob Liddle won the Community Involvement Award whilst Jesse Marschke was awarded the Mark Coyne Trophy recognising his initiative in pursuing a career outside of rugby league.

Liddle, who was also the club's Ken Stephen Medal nominee, has been an active member in community initiatives since joining the club.

He has been engaged in grassroots programs whilst becoming an ambassador for Heroes With Ability and volunteering to sponsor schools as a part of the club's The Best You Can Be health and wellbeing program.

Marschke has long worked in the building industry whilst training and playing part-time and this year completed a Cert IV in Building and Construction – the equivalent of gaining his Builders Licence – allowing him to start his own business.

In our lower grades, Savelio Tamale took home the club's Knock-On Effect NSW Cup Player of the Year with Jonah Glover awarded the team's Coach's Award.

Tamale scored a dozen tries across multiple positions whilst leading the competition in runs, run metres, post contact metres, line breaks and tackle breaks en route to an NRL debut in Round 27.

Glover, in his first year with the club, scored eight tries and kicked 49 goals in 22 appearances whilst leading the side in try assists.

Ashton Ward won the Paul McGregor Trophy for the club's Jersey Flegg Cup Player of the Year.

A Gerringong Lions junior, Ward spent the first 22 games of the season with our Jersey Flegg outfit leading the team in try assists and topping the competition's points scoring leaderboard with 10 tries and 72 goals.

The 20-year-old was rewarded with a promotion to Knock-On Effect NSW Cup level for the final two matches of the season scoring three tries and assisting on another.

Hope he remains at the club either a player or other role. He's always representing the red v on social media & was always up for a battle against opposition forward. He stood up to them on countless occasions while our other middles withered away. Love his attitude to the team.

Congratulations and goodbye to Dally M winger of the year, Zac Lomax

Dragons old boy, Jack Bostock got rookie of the year. I mention it because can't remember how many games the Couchmans played last year but of they were in the 17 from round 1 this year as they should've been, surely they'd have been a red hot chance to take home that award.
