You'd think so. Pommieland produce pretty good forwards specially bookends and they are big mothers some of them with a strong desire for work.Surely there is someone from English Super League .........

I didn't know that but it makes sense. Though I guess if Illias is going to be signed, we won't get Douehi.Funny you say that. I remember when it looked like Munster was moving on from the Storm it was strongly rumoured Melbourne were high on Douehi as his replacement. If Bellamy is high on someone then they must be doing something right. Although this was of course before his most recent ACL injury.
It seems Manly want to keep him but lack salary cap space. Maybe his personality problems are behind him. If so, would make him a very handy signing for 2 years.I think the days of stealing a super league prop at the last minute are gone.. I mean maybe if you are the Roosters, but they contract all their good players up years in advance to avoid us poaching from them.
Maybe Lodge is still on the cards.. were gonna have to wait and see on that one..
I've talked myself into douehi over illias. Douehi was a good player before injuries but illias is unknown. Doueihi can also cover other positions. Also not keen on illias since he has confidence & communication issues. Doueihi isn't shy on either.
Could also take both and maybe the competition brings the best out of all the halves?
A full half and was being touted by some in the know as a future Bunnies long term play maker/half so he must be a good talker. He is my pick of those avail, to replace the sook, but can we snare him before the wooden spooners or Gould step in to poach him from us like they have done often previously over the years.Ilias is more of a 7.
Do you think Illias and KFlano can work together, i see no threat with both in the halves and i think they would put pressure on the rest of the team to come up with points, i see Douieh as more of a threat but his knees could be an issue, Atkinson on the other hand would be perfect for us in the 6.I think Ilias is our 7 or nothing.. although souths fans reckon he might be a 9, there are a lot of parallels between him and Kyle.. but Ilias might still have a higher ceiling.. given he is only 24 and played 50 games... Kyle is 26 and played 101 games, I think we know what were gonna get with Kyle by now, hes quite consistent and can execute a plan.. but tbf hes only had a coupla games with out Hunt, so there is still a lot to prove for him this year.
Atkinson I think could play 1, 6 or 7 (and would be our longterm 7).. but probably would be a cracking dearden style 6.. but can we land him..
Douieh is a 3 or a 6, I dont mind the idea of having him in the squad, cause if hes in career best form.. he might be a real point of different @6 plus his boot.. but depends if we get Atkinson or not, because I think there is crossover there.
Whether we eventually get 2 of them I dunno.. cant wait to get our 7 wrapped up so we can stop thinking about it and just get training.
Douieh is a 5/8 or nothing in my view.Do you think Illias and KFlano can work together, i see no threat with both in the halves and i think they would put pressure on the rest of the team to come up with points, i see Douieh as more of a threat but his knees could be an issue, Atkinson on the other hand would be perfect for us in the 6.
I thought he had a shoulder problem previously? I know he has a knee problem now but maybe they aren't that bad.If Douehi came with no injury worries then I’d sign him tomorrow over Illias but unfortunately his knees are made of Paper Mache and it’s a massive worry.
We just have to sign Atkinson or Illias and get some combinations forming during the preseason
Agree on Doueihi, I think people forget how good he was back in 2021/22 when he had that long string of games at five-eighth, I mean at various points hes averaged like 150m and 6 tackle busts a game. He has the ability to be an absolute monster just been wrecked by injury and thats his biggest risk, still the best choice to play 6 and give us lots of attacking options and cover if he stays fit.I've talked myself into douehi over illias. Douehi was a good player before injuries but illias is unknown. Doueihi can also cover other positions. Also not keen on illias since he has confidence & communication issues. I think if we ended up with Kyle & Illias as the combo for 2025 instead it wouldnt be the worst stop gap, they are similar and we would lack creativity in the halves sure but I think we have enough from our other signing to have a very solid, simple, fast paced gameplan to win games. Atkinson would obviously be a great option as well but whether we can nab him early who knows, the Volkman rumours to the Sharks sounded promising for us but seems to have gone quiet.Do you think Illias and KFlano can work together, i see no threat with both in the halves and i think they would put pressure on the rest of the team to come up with points, i see Douieh as more of a threat but his knees could be an issue, Atkinson on the other hand would be perfect for us in the 6.
He's done 3 ACLs.I thought he had a shoulder problem previously? I know he has a knee problem now but maybe they aren't that bad.
Then it is a huge worry. He's done 3 ACLs.
Ilias coming off a broken leg. Both have injury concerns. I have more faith with douehi being an effective 1st grade player compared to ilias. Especially someone we need to play an immediate 1st grade role.
