David Fifita too. Not sure if it was his debut but first time I saw him play was a great game. He played well. Scored a runaway try early but Donkeys got smashed by the underdog Dragons regardless. JDB had a blinder. Leeson Au Maus best game I saw him play. Tim Lafai gave Roberts a bath. Awesome game.

As I said in another earlier post about Flanagan, he will attract the necessary players we need to be a competitive top 8 team by 2026. Shoring up a halves combination for 2026 without his boy is in my view another step forward

Fifita and Lawrie possible freeing up one more spot for a prop and then the last spot going to that dude from Rugby, we have ourselves a complete team. No weaknesses at all.

word is Kyle might play 13 (hence the bulk up).. if indeed we can land Atkinson early (still a big if though), would put our depth right up there if we had all 3 available.. but not getting my hopes up just yet! Still pleased to have him for 2026 anyway.
And yes im almost certain cooling off is done hence the announcements, it was 2 weeks ago that this was all happening (so timing is right), and we signed Ilias at that time because we couldnt just go into 2025 on a hope and a prayer that he was released... and we can use both rly.

I agree.
I'm big enough to admit when I was wrong. I've been fuming since about the middle of last season because I could have sworn Flanno was putting a certain player above the team. The recent signing of Atkinson and Illias along with LKT on a development contract and Flanno talking up Kade Reed shows I was wrong. Glad I was wrong. Now I'm again confident in the direction of the team.

I know everyone is saying we need a big bookend. I wonder if flanno has big plans for Tonga he could be an exciting unknown. Love to see a new face come in with a lust to perform well on the big stage. Maybe that is why flanno is not in hurry to sign an outsider. To be honest I have no idea didn't see Atkinson coming but loving all this off season
