Egan has good leg speed, high workrate and the real deal tackling machine. Good re-signing though if not Latu, prepare to lose some of the young forwards in the lower grades, almost first grade. Wish it wasn't true.

I'm just wondering, if Latu doesn't sign an extension soon, why wouldn't the club cut him loose? Why spend our resources and time preparing him to play first grade for another club? Same for LKT. If another club wants to pay out the remainder of their contracts, fine. Otherwise they can sit and watch the rest of the year on TV.

LKT being chased by Newcastle according to code sports, they’ve got one of the biggest junior nurseries in the country yet they pinch our guys.
McCarthy/Lucas/Frizell to name a few.

If the club wants to keep him, they can outbid Newcastle who will have the 2 highest paid players in the game next year.

Depends, if Newcastle offer 2 years top 30 for 200k and we only offer a development deal or 1 year extension top 30 minimum then it makes it hard for LKT to stay.

Well if Flanno would put his personal feelings aside and gave LKT a chance to play 5/8, there is every chance Atkinson could ask to renege on his Dragons deal and stay at the Sharks. Because we are moving forward with Illias - LKT this year and next year then Reed - LKT the year after.

LKT had his best game of the season so far against the bears, need more performances like that one, I always think that if O’ Sullivan is chasing a young kid than it’s a pretty good sign their going to be some player eg. Bostock/Plath/Katoa
Not saying it’ll be anywhere near the same level of quality but I can see a world next year if LKT kicks on this year where we run an Atkinson/LKT halves combo like storm run with Munster/Hughes where 2 x #6’s form the halves combination.

Which he definitely isn’t, but because he’s leaving after this season they’re just gonna use him sparingly and prioritise Riley Pollard’s development in NSW cup. Not ideal that Atkinson won’t play a bunch of 80 min games this year

Their season is pretty much in free fall. Might be an exaggeration but Canberra were playing with 12 for 10 min and still won. Against apparently a premiership heavyweight. Seems to me they will either promote him into the halves or allow him to leave a year early by promoting someone else into the halves ahead of him. So either way, I hope we get a chance to see how good he is in the halves sooner rather than later.

Good but it should be noted LKTs defence is very good. When in comes to reading the play and making the tackle.

I wouldn't say he was dominant, but he was safe and as SGT stated, his defence was good.
