Surely they can't be cheating again. I guess it's front-loading. Phil Gould has already kind of signalled they are in salary cap trouble with his comments regarding Mahony. Because his backs cooked and won’t play a game + dogs have all the leverage since Finau already signed with them
Just be happy we cleared some cap space
It’s a shambles that we let it get to a point that he’s gone, a superb player and frustrating when our own fans blindly say ‘he wouldn’t get in ahead of ____ so we let him go’ when it’s just simply not true

Lots of stuff-ups, but at this point it helps us to have him go.. the dogs must have no cap space left to be willing to chew up a Top30 spot with him for the year.
What we do with the spot is anyones guess!

Is that 2 or 3 spots potentially we can bring someone in, we also don't have to fill those spots as we already had, pretty sure

Promote from within. Nick T, Liu, Buchanan. Heidke has only played one NSW Cup game but judging from that, the only way is up.

Reports suggesting we are very much in the mix for Selwyn Cobbo. Don’t know what to really make of this but we need to start going after players of his calibre and being a bit more riskier with our recruitment instead of just signing the safer options. As long as it isn’t north of 750 or so I’m happy.
Don’t get too excited, Michael Carayanis reporting Cobbo wants a 5 year deal near a mil a season. No thanks

That’s probably the managers starting price. There’s absolutely no chance he’ll be getting that sort of deal at this moment. It was only a month or so ago when reports came out saying no clubs were interested in him so I doubt there will be a bidding war for him.

No way, he’s the type of guy roosters sign and then he’s a bust and they give him the flick 18 months later eg. Dom Young
If it is in fact true we want him and it’s not just agent talk then it’s a massive concern for me
Spending a significant amount of money on a fullback or another outside back is just a terrible use of our cap and shows their is no plan
Just makes no sense and isn’t worth the risk unless we get him for peanuts to play on the wing which he won’t do as he’ll only leave for big money
