Ditto Finau. Totally decided on Feagai, piss him off. Allan or Lawson to be the outside back depth player. Keep Mike Molo and persevere with Fifita. He will be a weapon if Dan Lawson can get more mins out of him. That is what the much hyped fitness guru is being paid the big bickies to do. Agree on RFM and J Klemmer, off to the knackers yard.

What chance of putting CT in the pack. Is as slow a finisher as Rava. Keeping Luch but in the middle. Unless we pick up a marqee half retaining Ilias. On same page with rest.
I thought it was set in stone that Allan is going to retire. Did you see the game between Dolphins and Cowboys last night? Feagai's brother is a much better centre than winger. Just a bit on the slow side for an outside back but still ok as long as he has a speedy winger outside of him.

Remember the club needs a top 30. Hopefully Feagai isn't starting in the best available team but every team needs depth.

St George Illawarra back rower Jaydn Su’A has become the latest big name to appear on the radar of rugby union.

Su’A, who played rugby at Anglican Church Grammar School alongside Kalyn Ponga in Queensland, is believed to be in the sights of Japanese and French rugby clubs.

R360, the privately-backed organisation threatening to invade rugby league, is also understood to be aware of Su’A’s history in the rival code. The 27-year-old has another year remaining on his deal at the Dragons and then an option in his favour for the year after.

It means he has the right to leave at the end of next season. The Dragons can ill-afford to lose him given he has arguably been the most consistent player over the past couple of years.

They may have a fight on their hands.

Hope he stays but wouldn't be the end of the world if he left. He's not one of the best secondrowers in the competition.
Replacing a back rower one of the ‘easier’ positions to do in footy

There’s plenty of talented ones that pop up every year, we’ve got a bunch of good ones coming through so not a concern if sua leaves after 2026 IMO

That’s also the big knock on Ben Haran from many people, his ability to evaluate talent and how much players are worth + length of contract is very poorHarran has been

I’d love to hear what he thinks each of our players is worth and who he’d keep

ravalawa, Sloan and Blake Lawrie all extended when there were major question marks and now their all wasting valuable top 30 spots

Not to mention the coin their all on is double what their actually worth
Haran has been way out of his depth for years, and the Dragons left him there so he could continue to f#@k the club.

this thread?
Yep. Just to discuss the upcoming tour and your preferred tourists to take on the Pommies. Maybe a touch premature tho at the moment.

Wasnt anything interesting out of Watsford tonight, partially due to the line of questioning.. but dont think hes going to say too much to the media circus.. handled himself pretty well though.

They r saying we have spoken with Doueih also.. not sure how that deal ended up after we went with Ilias instead... supposedly more as a lock though, but who knows.

Thought recruitment decisions were put on hold til Anderson joined in a week from now

The Douehi interest was there 6 months ago according to Chammas

Dunno.. maybe Anderson is already in conversations? Spose with JDB gone a 13 isnt crazy.. though surely hes a chance of playing 7? Very different price point though. They said Penrith were talking to him also.... the question is money.. hes been lowballed for a while now.

He's a good backline utility but a lock? I don't think that will work.

I have no idea.. but I can only assume that recruiting our A and B Tier targets hasn't come off.. and we just need targets to improve our chances in 2026.

I reckon if Anderson had 1 job in the next few months it might be sorting out some juniors to extend / lock-down.. I think that's the part that needs careful attention, I mean maybe extending someone on contract isn't a thing.. but just with the Bears/PNG coming, feel like we need a genuine plan...

In terms of recruiting 1st graders, yeah not sure how that plays out.. i.e. if Anderson can help short-term, I cant help but think he will be in for a bit of a shock in terms of how much more difficult it is to entice players (young and old) after life at the rorters.

your right, some of the best work that can be done is locking down the most talented players we have long term even if they still have 2 years left eg. Couchman x 2

Id just like to see a big change up in pathways R&R, it’s too hard to compete with soon to be 18 other teams for the occasional star that comes available on the market

You HAVE to produce most of them within and occasionally sign a star like the Panthers did with Koroisau and produced Cleary/Yeo/To’o within their system

Heard on a podcast that it seems like DCE has some sort of 1yr roosters deal + a year of coaching locked in.. so therefore I guess that ship has sailed for us.. not sure what Sandon Smith will do, I feel like his lack of selection last week is pretty brutal from Robbo and says a lot.

Doesnt leave a lot else available in terms of 'marquee halves', but probably a mid-tier like Boyd, Clifford, Douiehi.. someone with a big boot could really boost us.. esp if Ilias is off the books.. supposedly he has clauses in there.. noone has elaborated on that though.
