For sure but your profile pic reminded me that it's probably not a good idea to pay overs for a prop. Next year Tonga and Stewart will be that much better and 2 Couchmans and JDB. Egan playing in the middle a fair bit. It's just we have to somehow make it through this year.

I dunno who else we could go for.. even if we have to struggle through 2025.. to get 1 or 2 more + Ryan back for next year.. plus maybe Sele retires (or stays fit)..
I think Latu is probably a better longterm prospect than those two, but hes gone now and the upside (in theory) is that we can get some older more first grade hardened middles to assist us in 25/26/27.. we actually have to land them however...

True, but think about the possible departures we could have at the club this year - Sele (i think he retires), JDB (contract expires), Eisenhuth (retires), RFM (contract expires), Klemmer (contract expires), Michael Molo (i think both parties agree to part ways from his MO). Thats 5 players we potentially part ways with. If Loko does become a starting forward for us, I wouldn't mind bringing in one of Moale or Pahulu as long as we dont have to pay overs to get them. If we do, then stick with Loko and maybe another youngster

Middle Forwards we will have for next year: Couchman twins, LPT, Guler, Halangahu moves into top 30, Stewart. We could, realistically, not sign a middle forward next year and keep those ones. However, maybe we sign a backup or 2 to play in case of injuries and suspension. Then in 2027, go out and get a middle forward or 2 to actually play a starting role depening on player movements and who else we bring in both top 30 and young players

JDB is still the best middle forward in the team. I expect Couchmans to overtake him next year but haven't yet. JDB should get another year.

I have only seen him play 1 or so games, huge specimen of a human, anyone else seen much of him

Hadnt heard of him, but off contract Nov 1 (for 2027), 23yrs old 114kg 196cm, 18 games in 1st grade (5 this year), 64 in reserves... very much of age.. looks like he carries a little though, like hes tall but a very big dude.. has the frame but moves just a fraction slow in highlights I thought.
Some Stats in recent games:
Round 8: 27mins 1run - 7m - 20 tackles @ 74% efficiency
Round 5: 17mins 8runs - 71m - 9 tackles @ 81%

Payne Haas probably on the move. Might be a marquee player Flanno wants to sign but personally I think we should just put our hopes in Couchmans, Tonga, Liu, Stewart and if there is still cap space, someone not quite so marquee and a lot cheaper.
Cobbo on the other hand would be a very good signing. Holmes and Gutho aren't getting any younger and Suli isn't getting any better.
