Agree. He's already played a year too long and has another year to go! Ridiculous! I'm just saying he wouldn't be near as bad as he has been without trying to do the halves job for them and without backs as slow as Gutho. Or almost as slow. Over 50m, it looks like Blake Lawrie might beat Gutho these days.

Maybe we let Gutho coach the team next year? gives us an extra year to find someone else & we don't need to pay for a head coach.

To me Gutho should hang up his boots at the end of the year. There are still 9 games of regular games to be played before the year is over for the Dragons. Not that I want it to happen, but he could suffer an ACL injury in one of those games and that will spell a long layoff and then he might decide to call it quits. You just never know.
Gutho has a contract and he is not going anywhere. Like Blocka, but we get rid of him this year. It would be good if Gutho and Holmes could move on this year, but they won’t, would you ? We have Flanno to thank for those two ! Of the others Sloane might be worth extending at a lower rate, but after dropping that kick under no pressure against the Raiders….
Pretty sure Sloan is heading to Castelford in the ESL

Don't forget there is Mr K. Flanagan also contracted for another year. Club should make him an offer he can't refuse. Take the payout now or be the reserve grade ball boy for the year.
Recruitment from the last few coaches has been so bad, it's kind of funny. Funny they were just so clueless or the higher ups were so feckless and weak, just let them get away with singing whoever the hell they wanted for whatever reason other than ability or the clubs needs.

Knowing you only have a contract because of your Dad must be hard psychologically. If he had any pride at all he would have already made a deal for a payout. You can bet our old coach has told him to hang tight and not accept anything less than 100% of your contract.

I don’t blame KF for anything. It was all his father’s doing. We were getting a utility not a half. His dad pumped him up to be something he was never going to be and also prove multiple clubs wrong. Ok the bottom line is we thought a premiership winning coach could bring players in but he didn’t which was embarrassing for him and the club. But if we had bothered to look a bit further back when Flanno was an assistant and also pathways manager,how did he go then what marquees did we get or anyone of note. So yeah we had history and chose to ignore it and put the blame on Hook and McPeanut.
