I think I might prefer QLD win. Hopefully ring in some changes with at least one of the Couchman's being on the bench.

QLD by 14
FTS: Hammer
MOTM: Ponga

Ponga was best on field by a mile while he was on in game 1.

Victor Fuking Radley is useless!! I don't give a fuk if he likes to socialise a lot. Let him do that but pick the better players for Origin!

So embarrassing. The following have to go:
  1. Radley
  2. Robson
  3. Lucas
  4. Staggs
  5. Strange or Woods
In their place:
  1. Toby Couchman
  2. Koroisau
  3. Olakau’atu
  4. Mitchell
  5. KF (because he can play hooker and in the halves:cool:) But in all seriousness, Cook could very well fill in on the bench.
The following need to be looked at very carefully.
  1. Barnett

Tedesco will get another chance after winning game 1 but compared to Ponga, he looks slow and tired. Roosters players are definitely favoured when it comes to selection for NSW every year. Though Mark N was probably NSW best.

Toby plays well every week. Ryan does too. But lets see him have an especially big game on Friday and force his name into calculations for the inevitable NSW changes.

That was poor by the Blues, the coach made quite a few mistakes with his selection and failure to recognise early in the 2nd half the game momentum had changed.

You cannot play injured players at the level no matter who they are our 6 and 7 were to my eye playing injured.

Lucas was non existent , api should have replaced Robson within the first 10 min of the 2nd half. Qld were far too good and quick especially in their backline. Our best was MN on the wing.

Good coaches take action when required not sit there like a stunned mullet. The body language of the 2 coaches told the tale.

Some changes are required just to be competitive in game 3.

The prop rotation should be:
Haas and Yeo followed by AFB and T. Couchman. And excellent combination of size and power along with speed, agility and a lot of work.

Robson is nothing but a tackling machine. He's not one of the best hookers in the comp, IMO. I'd go with Koroisau and Egan on the bench. Egan can also play in the halves so no need to carry a halves cover on the bench.

Hudson Young and Olakau’atu should be the backrowers.

Lock Murray.

In the halves: Cleary and Luai or Moses and Strange. I rate Moses very highly but him and Cleary in the team just means they trip over each other, so to speak. Too many cooks in the kitchen.

Must be temped to drop both centres though Staggs has certainly stamped his papers for Origin banishment. There are no shortage of candidates. Latrell Mitchell, Steven Crighton, Tom Trbojevic, Bostock. Koula might also retain his spot.

Tedesco probably deserves one more chance. He doesn't have the impact he once did but still goes ok and gets though a lot of work. Also Dylan Edwards is also past his best. If Tom Trbojevic comes back and plays well the next 2 games, that could be a safe bet.

On the bench:

Couchman
Egan
AFB
Keaon Koloamatangi (Stewart as he can play in the backrow or middle but I think given our position on the table it's too much to ask for 2. I don't really know who else but I'm sure there is someone.)
Bostock because he's perfectly comfortable on the wing or centre.

I don't know who should be the last spot on the bench. I guess Moses as Cleary won't get dropped.

Style make fights, Cleary/Teddy/Edwards/Robson style isn't suited for winning origin footy.

I could certainly get behind this team though I'd definitely swap out Ford with Koloamatangi. Ford is good because of the amount of work he does. With Couchman, Murray, Yeo, Young and Haas and Koloamatangi get through more than their fair share as well, would need more of an attacking threat than Ford offers, IMO.
