I really don't get how players who choose a different country than Australia still get to play in State of Origin.

They're Australian states are they not , and to me it takes away from what it is supposed to be, which is the best Australian players from NSW & QLD.

Agree. Players like AFB, Nikora, Critchon, Radley etc aren’t playing for Australia so why bother allowing them to play origin. Just blocks the path for others. Just my thoughts

No, id rather only pick SOO players who want to play for Australia. Some emerging young talent could get a run.

Why not try a 3 week break in the comp, and have state of origin and something like island of origin/heritage at the same time.
