In terms of team selections at the Red V Carr’s first move has been to name captain Hunt at halfback, reinstate Zac Lomax in the centres and Jacob Liddle at hooker and name Jayden Sullivan at no.14 on the bench.
I like it. Too bad for Mybe but the bottom line is, he's a jack of all trades, master of none. I hope Bird is on the bench as a utility. Musgrove should come in, allowing JDB to go back to lock.

Disappointed BMM and Kerr are still on the bench when Musgrove, J Hunt, Tuitavake or Lui-Toso would do a better job. Can't expect too much in half a day, I suppose.

Hopefully Lomax is back on his favoured side next to Rava.

Analysis:Zac Lomax has earned a big recall into Ryan Carr’s first Dragons team, replacing Max Feagai who has been dropped. Carr has also shifted Ben Hunt back to halfback, with Jacob Liddle also returning in the No.9 jersey and Jayden Sullivan in the utility role. Moses Mbye has been shifted off the pine.

Sorry Carr this 17 is no better than Griffin managed!!! No new blood.

Obviously Carr does not agree with some of us here that Lomax would be a good fit for fullback as with Hunt back at half (dumb move) he'll continue to be starved of the leather.

Ben Murdoch-Masila: How the hell does he keep getting picked, I'd even prefer Kerr over him.

Michael Molo: JDB should be back here but thank goodness he has moved Bird and put in this bloke. At least now he may get decent minutes.

I'd have dumped Matt Feagai, Max made a scapegoat when our overall defense, other than for JDB and one or two others has been ABYSMAL past six weeks.

Liddle is out best #9 at present. If Hunt can train for a few weeks there, he might be better but right now it's Liddle.

How do BMM and Josh Kerr keep getting picked?

Mary has broken his silence about the way FO " restrained him" specially in his last season by removing him from selection and R& R duties. I was a Mary fan and figured he had been screwed and made a scapegoat for one poor season after he had taken us to within a whisker of the prelim final in 2018.

Finishing 8th doesn't constitute a good year. It's a pass is the team was successful the season before or is going to be in the following seasons. It seemed like he inherited a mess. He did ok putting things right before getting it all wrong himself. Paying overs for Sims and Hunt. Massive overs for Mcinnes and Norman. Let go of Robson, Garrick, Host, Millne and others.

According to our game day team list. Mike Molo has been dropped for Frank. I'd have Frank off the bench and Mike at lock if JDB does not play there. Musgrove continues to remain well down the prop pecking order for some unknown reason when his stats suggest otherwise...

What is wrong with this bloody club. JDB is and never has been a run on prop. Jesus christ it makes me mad that our mindset hasn't really changed where it matters. We need and always have needed 2 big bodied go forward book ends all the competitive teams have them. JDB is my 1st pick lock has a beautiful tackling technique and has the passing game to link on the edges. We have that pea hearted Kerr on the bench the new coach should have been telling him straight you start tonight now use that big frame to cause pain even if it's for 20 bloody minutes. But alas the same mindset of playing it safe. I picked us to win tonight based on a new coach a new fresh start and vision our only plus here is that the Roosters won't have their most dangerous forward playing tonight in JWH and that may even it up in the forwards hopefully, the 1st 20 min will tell.

100%. At least Liddle has been recalled but JDB at prop, not lock and Kerr in the 17 is unfathomable!
