Hope you’re right mate but I think LKT could be in strife next year with Metcalf, Reed, Atkinson all available.
Watching cup closely each week, in my opinion LKT is way off from first grade. He can’t ice games in cup with first grade experience. I’m still not convinced with him especially with the others in front of him but I’m definitely not death riding the young bloke, just have my doubts

Yep, understand the thinking on Metcalf and Drinkwater for next year. I've been watching Sammi and Drinkwater lately and they have much more to offer than our current backs do, no doubt. We definitely need to add more talent in the backs on top of those three coming in.
I dont know if its years of crap watching our Dragons that is worrying me for next year, thats why we need a complete broom through the team and coach, can not have Dean at the helm, we need new ideas from outside, this is essential. Dean does not cut the mustard!
Our Fowards with KK are there more or less, a fantastic group of young guys.
The last couple of months have made me more comfortable with the way the club is now moving forward for next year. The new guys in Watsford Creagh and Anderson know things had to change in a big way and are hopefully trying to move Gutho and Holmes on as well.
We seriously can not go through another debacle of a year like this.

Agree. He has to improve more but he's at an age where he can do it. Kyle has been SO bad he's taken attention away from how bad Atko has been.

Every single back in our club should be on notice and most of them need to be cut this year.

i dont see young using reed again this year in 1sts ...
Reed has been exposed to 1sts and has an idea on the pace/feel of that intensity now ... back to Cup to work on game management and prepare for next year ... With Metcalf arriving Reed will continue to develop in 1sts until he pressures and wins the spot off Metcalf.

I think Reed will be 7 and Metcalf 6 sometime next year even if Metcalf wants the 7 jersey, lets have them fight for it.

I think he will definitely play him (after 1-2 weeks in NSW Cup).. especially if we lose a few more games, I think Deano will want to see how we look with more pace out of 7..
But.. cant argue that we are absolutely in games with Kyle @7, probably we leak less points.. but we probably need a larger sample size to judge off also..
Was also curious if they would consider Reed as goal-kicker.. but it seems insane to be thinking our origin/australian goalkicker.. would be dropped for a rookie.. so maybe Val just keeps the role for this year atleast.
