SOMEONE TELL K FUKING FLANAGAN TO STOP DUMMY AND RUNNING LATE IN THE COUNT!!!! HE'S TRIED IT AT LEAST ONCE A GAME, OFTEN 2 OR 3 TIMES THIS YEAR AND IT HASN'T WORKED ONCE.

I thought considering the positions on the ladder we were in the end unfortunate not to take it into golden point, we just couldn't take the opportunity when it presented itself.

To my eye we played a lot more direct in attack. LKT made 10 runs for 77m, Flanagan only 7 for 29m, so 17 runs but only 106m, but that was still not as good as the phins 16 runs 163m but gave us something we have been missing. LKT provided a bit of pace and directness.

We showed a bit of ticker, but just lacked the finesse and creativity in attack especially after tackle 4 to create the opportunities to score when we had too but we never chucked it in.

The lads left everything on the park and that's all you can ask as a coach. Some errors at the wrong time during the game came back to bite us in the end.

Good completion rate 83% v 70% really gave us a chance to match the phins. But missed tackles hurt us 35 v 26, phins made 14 errors. Ryan and LPT did well in the go forward meterage. LPT needs to be resigned.

Stewart's workload both on and off the ball is wearing him down to my eye, for the second week in a row he topped the missed tackle count but that's because of his involvement. It would be nice to see him get at least one breather during the game that would help him and the team.

Overall we certainly improved from our performance last week, the phins were below their best but that's because we pressured them into errors. A good effort but another loss.

The rotations were dumb, LKT was great & we need more punch from our 2rfs. I would have Jacob defend in the middle but attack on the edge, swap with Stewart who does vice versa. I think Jacob straight line power running would compliment LKT ball playing. Stewart ball playing in the middle would help create quicker shifts but also give opportunities for line breaks to our props like he did with the beautiful ball to Kerr.

Ref on debut was average….
Just in that one try to Flegler, I feel both calls might have been right. Katoa was traveling backwards fast and after he touched the ball, it was still traveling backward, just not as fast creating the illusion it was knocked on. But it was 50-50. Could have gone either way and the Dolphins player clearly thought it was a knock on. Then when Flegler scored, I think it might have touched the line. But it was ruled short. 50-50 at worst, from the Dragons perspective there was conclusive evidence to say the ref was wrong.

This has been happening all season.

Something that was not 50/50
Jake kicked the ball deliberately before the knock on and wasn’t blown held back on the chase - absolute penalty
