Dragons true to form with their win/loss record, will it continue with a win against the wooden spoon favs the Parramatta Eels?

This is a must win game for our finals hopes. We need our leaders to stand up, actually we need all 17 players & the coaches to deliver a win on Saturday!

Do we bring in new players both in the middle & backs? Who would you pick? Depth is unknown & inexperienced but maybe some roughies will shine...

Trent Barrett took the unusual step of calling out some of his player by name. I think they won't be happy. Hopefully put on a stinker to help us. Though for and against doesn't matter anymore. Ours is way worse than any of the other teams in the running for the top 8. So we have win both games. Simple as that.

Unfortunately today marked the end of our improved season. TBH, I like a punt, and at the beginning of the season I placed 2 bets , bet 1 we finished between 10th & 12th, bet 2 we actually finish 12th. I'm fairly confident that I will collect on one of those 2 bets. Next season bets will be 8th & 10th and 8th hopefully which may mean semi finals football next season for the 1st time since 2018. Again TBH as a 54 yr supporter of the club that in itself is not good enough.

I didn't have the sharks game as a win, I hope we would win but expected a loss. We should beat eels but who knows what kind of damaging getting pumped has done to the lads.

I can't remember who I tipped but usually if I think Dragons will be within 10 points, I tip them. I thought they would be within 10 points when I found out Sharks had a few late scratchings. Really disappointed. After that I'm ambivalent on whether I want the Dragons to make the finals. Make the finals and have everyone talking about "super coach Flanno"? No thanks.

Yes, you want to make the finals. Finals are an awesome experience for the entire club. Fans get excitement, players get experience & we look more attractive for recruitment.

It was an unguarded comment from me borne from extreme frustration and disappointment. Of course I hope they win the next 2 games and make the finals. Flanno has also done a good job with the team he inherited. Not great but good. Shouldn't have stuck with Kyle for so long and I think Egan and/or Coric might offer a bit more than Eisenhuth and/or Lawrie. I also don't really understand why Sione Finau only had the one chance, played well but not seen in first grade again.

Fair enough mate, its been difficult few seasons. My approach is we've hardly been in finals contention over the last few years, so I'm going to enjoy the chance of making finals this year. We might get blown off the park next 2 weeks but I'm happy to think a bit more optimistically & enjoy the opportunity for finals footy.

I'd recommend everyone to do the same because as fans we deserve to at least be excited for finals footy, after what the club has put us through in the last 5 years...

Maybe RFM to replace him but their aren't too many options. I can't see him playing another youngster like an Egan or Coric etc. I hope Flanno backs both couchman boys in

I dont think Ryan is going anywhere, but he might keep him as a prop for now.. and run Luciano for 80.

If we had BMM as an option I think he would be a nice point of difference.. but apart from MMolo.. thats kind of it for our serious prop options.

Whether RFM, Marshke or LKT play.. thats the qn.. but we wont know until the weekend... im sure they will all be on the extended.

I'm all for a bit of accountability. Been lacking for a long time. Like Slaon after his Bludger in Brisbane.

But it should be equally applied.He didn't drop Kyle after his Nightmare on Anzac Day or Eisenhuth after his Catastrophe vs Canterbury. He shouldn't drop Ryan now.

I don't think he will.

Unfortunately as a very old ex coach and after following the mighty red v upon my arrival in Australia in 1969 , I predict a bounce back from the humiliation of last Sunday but if the mental scars of that non performance is lingering in the minds of the players then I really can't see us winning against the Eels. For my sanity I'm hope I am wrong. I do note no changes from last week's team.
