Well we cant blame Gutho for this performance, some of the trys they scored were absolutely ridiculous. Yeah we may have shit attack but that is no excuse to match it with shit defense. My concern will be is that we will get all these players and DY wont be able to do nothing with them. Do these guys actually train in the same area

The squad with the new players will need to gel and will Deano have that in him to get this done? I am a bit concerned now after these last couple of losses - so many points scored against them - 88 in total. I doubt that we will have the fire power next week to beat the Eels. So with the possibility of us losing 3 on the trot, it won't be a good start for Round 1 of next year if we lose our first game that might set the trend of successive losses for a period like it was this year. I certainly hope not but how we are finishing the season is not boding too well and with Deano at the helm, who knows what is on the horizon for us??

Valentine Holmes is horrible, he's bottled seasons at the Cowboys & doing the same at the Dragons, even though he's an experienced rep player. This type of attitude is toxic for the team & youngsters. He should be shipped off in the off-season, use his money for someone else.

What worries me Dave is even after we play the Eels , that 3 teams that weren't in the top 8. Teams that supposedly next year we will miraculously beat because everyone is saying we are a top 8 side next year. Frankly speaking, Dean Young is not qualified to be a head coach. Assistants get promoted once a year at most on average. Usually it's someone who was already a head coach at another club. That is about half the head coaches in the NRL now. Many of the rest did an apprenticeship in the ESL. the only reason Dean Young was even considered for the job, after being a spectacularly unsuccessful assistant, is because of his dad. That is how amateurish the club is.

I picked this a couple of years ago that he would be our next coach , and I hope he proves me wrong , but even with new players next year not much will change ....... For me with the players signed and with our young forward pack we should be well imbed in the top 8 at least ...... Anything else is a failure ....... Prove me wrong Youngy ........

There is just no accountability for playing badly. Young has options. He could have picked Tu, moved Sloan to fullback and dropped Atkinson or moved him to halfback and dropped Kyle. Also could have picked Tsuogranis in the centres, which I wouldn't have been in favour of because I want him to get a chance in the forwards, and moved Val to fullback.

His whole focus seemed to be ensuring the shoulder was right for golf in the off season than actually performing the job he is paid for.

tbf Deano was trying to get in Buchanan to play ctr and get Holmes on the wing.. but between Buchanans injury, Lawsons issues, Heidkes injuries, Feagai being in and out and struggling @ctr also... not sure if im forgetting anyone else, but our centre depth = 0 this year.. even in cup we often play 2 guys out of position @ctr.... it is one thing we need to fix for 2027 if we want to get out of the bottom 4 we cant keep having these problems with basic offensive and defensive errors out of our centres.
