Round 26 v Manly

Dragons Chris

SGI NSW Cup
Sua had probably his worst game of the season, and I dont blame him, still looked injured, it was a set up for failure and it did. Stupid risking him.
He would have been given a fitness test. He has the odd bad game in him. During his last season for Souths Bennett dropped him to reserve grade at one point. Not for any reasons of disciple or off field issues. Just due to a few poor games.

To Top things off , both our lower grades got blitzed by the dogs. Now then, there are no excuses, or at least no more than any other team has. So we just about finish this year so far with 2 hidings, and await Penrith. The Dragons fans are tired, we're tired of the same bullshit, no matter who the players are or who the coach is, we're tired. We have months now , running around the recruitment train hoping for something to happen, another year gone, another year of frustration, another year of desperation. As far as positives go, hope our juniors that have been subjected to this shit show dont think that this is now the norm, who could blame them if they did. I wait for those famous words coming from our PC.
💯 👏 Ditto. With u all the way Jd. We are sad, angry, tired and frustrated.

Great start 1st set the Sea Eagles run 55m and of course we drop the very first kick. You just can't do that in 1sts. Then a 6 again and great defence saves us on this occasion. But I fear we are in for another hiding.

So then a try either side of the park. The danger bells are ringing. Thats just poor defensive decisions and positioning by both wingers and is most definitely not 1st grade standard and diabolical.

Sloan and Feigai just simply cannot read the game at all and Holmes, well we get the rocks again tonight. This could get very embarrassing if it isn't already.

As I write another poor backline defensive read and the Sea Eagles go 85m, back to back tries. 22 zip after 25 minutes.

As I continue to write a 3rd back to back try. Feigai is standing 12m infield. You can't play a compressed defensive line inside your red zone, you must nunber up and we are not. 26 zip.

The season cannot end quickly enough.

Hopefully we can secure some possession and show some fight and character.

We will see the character of the coach and new squad next season because this season there has been scant if any improvement since we appointed a new head coach.

A bitterly disappointing effort so far tonight that has continued from last weeks sub par performance.

Just on Holmes and Suli the worse 3 and 4 in the comp .......

Anyone else think LKT defence has improved on a consistent enough basis to be playing 1sts? And I know this will be very unpopular with most of you but Stewart needs to work on his tackling technique.

To my eye he is the weak link in the middle of the park defensively. He is going to be a very good player but this is where a decent coach can make a difference to the continuing development of a young player.

You have to have a balance between your strengths and your weaknesses. I still have my doubts we have the right man at the helm. Time will tell

On a more positive note what beautiful hands by LPT to catch another horrendous pass, show speed, break a tackle and set up so far tonight our only try. Thank god we secured this kid.
