Well one thing for sure Dave we need some bloody good assistants. its obvious what we have atm isn't cutting it both in attack and defense. I'm sure the current crop of players has much to do with it but still we need lots of help for DY. I would actually like the club to go somewhere completely left field and get Cleary as a coaching director.

Not very likely unfortunately Justa seeing that Jett is going back to the Panthers and I feel sure that Ivan would like to be his coach.

Ivan is over the ditch today to watch his son play against the Knights. So too is Nathan and his sisters and Mum. All in the family so they say.

Anyone watching the Parra/Sharks game trying to imagine us winning this game. Well we are going to get burnt on the outside again and we are going to fold like a deck of cards and I'll be surprised if we dont have 40 put on us to make it 3 by 40 point losses in a row. Merry xmas Dragons fans.

Then we need to check back in. If I'm coach and any of the players are giving less than 100% they will be well and truly on my sh.tlist going into the start of next year. Unforgiveable for fans to pay money and turn up if they are not ripping in and that includes the young forwards. Yes a few of them have played some big minutes but if you can't manage one game of footy a week at that age without letting your standards drop then you will have a very short career. We have professional conditioning teams to aid recovery and manage their training loads so they should be primed by the next game. If Young can't get them up for it then he's not the "man-manager" people keep saying he is. And if it's those coming to the end of their contract not putting in then switch them to Cup.

Very nicely said The Word. That is exactly what the players and coaches have to do. Don't think about mad Monday or "we have won the spoon so that's it just get this year out of the way and go on holidays" attitude. In fact, they should be putting in 120% and end the year on a positive.

Good one Morgan. A win by us will also give us more hope for success in 2027 knowing that they didn't throw in the towel and result in us having more of a feeling and belief that they will give it their all not only for themselves but the club and us fans throughout the new season.

Thank goodness they are not going to Vegas next year. To me playing games over there unsettles most clubs. Good luck to the Knights and Cowboys though as they managed to get into the top 8 after Vegas this year.

On another trivial note, the top 4 of last year did not make the finals this year. Being the Raiders, Storm, Bulldogs and Broncos. Expect a couple of teams making the top 8 this year to miss being in the finals next year.

Well I for one selected the Eels last week and they duly delivered. Based the selection on a number of stats but the big one was last game of the season playing at home.

Thinking along those lines alone not including previous stats we win our last game in front of the faithful. Time will tell.

We've had many chances this year to win in front of our faithful and failed miserably Jo, I firmly believe after the last 2 rounds this team has checked out. Happy to be proven wrong.

Ai I'm glad this game is at home, we will need that energy boost + the farewells.. but I dont give us much of a shot... we need to be defending like madmen to blunt offensive teams (well every team is an offensive team bar us and the dogs), and we havent been doing that recently, and the Eels halves are throwing punches for 80 minutes (even without Iongi who is their best), and we wont win a punching competition.. ur right we're gonna have to score 24+ points to be any shot... LKT will need to be good.

The thing that frustrates me most about us though is we have always had players with errors.. we just wont ever win regular games if we keep coughing up possession and making ourselves do more defence.. its a 1-way ticket.

Dean Young has named his squad to take on the Parramatta Eels at WIN Stadium as the club raises funds for the i98FM Illawarra Convoy.
