Round 4 v Storm - Sat 3pm

Sele and Egan in I’m assuming, Klemmer is guaranteed a spot I’d say. It sounds like Hamish Stewart is the unlucky man to miss out
If this is true...... what can I say? Bizarre to put it politely. Stewart was ok in the first game, better in the second. On an upward trajectory. Why would the coach drop him?

Stewarts not a 27 round selection... he's a game here or there for injury... finding his feet.. and hes not really bringing bench impact...

Again my hope is Leilua does the role RFM has been doing.. only with far more impact.. middle or edge... just depends whether Egan is up to 80mins, and its a big call to start him.. but thats his thing.. long minutes, effort.. and making tackles.

Only problem is Egan plays right side.. Leilua plays left.

The other one being talked about is Lawson vs Feagai potentially @ctr, but hopefully Suli is fine and its a non-issue.

Fair enough. If his form starts going downhill, maybe it's a sign he needs a rest.

I’ve always thought Egan should play left side, he’s a left arm carry like Hudson Young so it would make sense. Very strange if he debuts on the right side over sua

Won't he be on the bench and come on as a middle? Played very well in reserve grade at lock.

there are so many ways flanno could play this.. we will have to wait and see..

Note: I didnt notice this, but another mate was saying Egan went from lock to left 2nd row in that last nsw cup game, they literally moved jacob to the right (a left side specialist) just to accommodate it.. this was before we lost in 1st grade.. that seems pretty telling.. must have been something Flanno had in mind from earlier in the season.

Is Flanno going to drop Su'A or Luch? Neither have been bad but also neither have come close to earning their paychecks. Though better halves would probably help them. That is by far our biggest issue. Then props but hopefully Klemmer can go a long way to fixing that.

Seems like a viscous circle. The more the forwards struggle to go forward, the more the halves struggle (Cook and Liddle as well). The more the halves struggle the more the forwards struggle to go forward. Lets just wait and see what the addition of Klemmer can do.

I said it re Latu, i would like to see that #17 position rotated so we can blood some of these young guns, also gives a chance for the players to drop down after a few weeks to build their game time as well by starting in KOE as opposed to playing limited minutes in 1st grade, i think Stewart has gone ok, with Egan potentially coming in, i don't see much in his attacking prowess, all about defence for him, so probably what flano is looking for mostly..

Hamish Stewart
He has been going ok. Have him over Egan. Reckon Flanno is gonna give a bunch of guys a crack at this bench spot. The older Stewart and Egan then hoping our next gens Loko Jr then Latu. Like Jett Liu and Nick T to be given a shot too.

Other way round mate. Dont expect too much from Klemmer, not the player he was when he repped. Other than Jack and Toby, Guler has been our most consistent middle for mine. We got him cheap at 370K, has more than proved his worth.

Klemmer is a stop gap solution to our biggest issue. He won't be match fit so if we get 20 min each half out of him will be a blessing. Leilua to my eye just doesn't seem fit enough and Su'a strong in attack, weak links in defence. Your dummy half and your halves need your pack to be moving forward and consistently, they haven't been, hence when you look at the running stats for Cook, Illias and Flanagan they are very poor. Ranked out of 334 players, Cook ranks 271st , Illias ranks 311th and Flanagan ranks 286th. Unless we fix our bookends we will struggle to compete
