Was hoping for a coupla forwards ruled out too.. but cant ask for much more than 3 injuries from their game inculding their 7 and goalkicker..... shame Munster got off, I thought it was pure luck he didnt cause an injury.. but anyway lets see if we can be competitive.. I have a feeling we will start well.
Even though I would love to beat the Storm.. my real wish is no injuries, because the 2 games after that are very winnable... Parra in particular.. really want to beat them with Gutho in the side.

Told everyone this would be a very tough game physically and it was . If we are going to be able to match their forwards then we are a fair chance. Ultimately the forward battle will tell the tale

Any team can beat any team this year but yeah, after the way we played against Souths, even without Hughes, Grant and Munster, they'd be warm favourites.

Glad we play the warriors in Wollongong this year, would be a tough slog going over to NZ and beating them the way they’ve played so far at home

You guys read the salaries of our players. Our best JDB is now on only 540K, while our best paid forward is Jaydn Su'a on 620K and backs, Clint Gutherson, Val Holmes on 700K. Was shocked when I read that Jacob Liddle, consistently one of our best since his arrival, remains on a paltry 280K. Whereas the bloke who Flanno handed his spot to, Damien Cook is earning 260K more. So almost double Liddle.

What is the current salary cap, $13m? If so we are currently $2.1m under it with our '25 roster. For example, our opposition this weekend, the Storm have a roster worth #12.35m to our #10.9m. Some pundits claim the Storm have as much as 4m worth of player value over us.

The 1.1m is his total salary (including ~300k from the cows), he would be back to 800-850ish for 2026/2027.

That's reasonable. If the halves can do their job a bit better, Holmes still has the ability to cut loose. As he showed in the trials.

If I've said this once I've said it a hundred times. It wouldn't matter if we had the whole Kangaroo backline if your forwards aren't going forward and consistently making the advantage line it won't matter. Forwards win games the backs decide by how much, simple analogy

Word around the usual places is Egan will debut, im sure we will find out tomorrow.. am personally hoping it might mean we can use Luciano as bench impact... I think thats his strength.
