Sack Flanno….

Can’t we approach Slater again.
Yeah, we could. I would if I was Tim Watsford, but he probably wouldn't even want to talk to us, like he didn't last time we approached him. Even before there was any talk of us being interested in Slater last time, I was already saying he would be my first target if I was our CEO.

Flanno has finally lost me. lol. I have lost all faith that I had in Flanno.

After the Charity Shield, I said I would have played Reed at halfback and Atkinson at 5/8. I know Reed is slightly built, but I believe we could have beat Parra, Gold Coast, Manly and even Canterbury if Reed was our halfback. I also said that if I was in Flanno's position and coaching for my career, I would be playing my best option, in Reed at halfback.

I also said I WTF when he picked Lawrie in the 17 and left out Pasifiki Tonga. He has continued to pick Lawrie over Pasifiki Tonga and I still can't believe it. I thought Lawrie wasn't going to get any game time this year, barring a massive injury toll. Now it is official that Pasifiki Tonga wants out. I don't care how hard Lawrie trained in the off season or how much weight he lost. The lose of weight has made no difference to his game.

I also said from the beginning of the season that I would be playing Leilua at prop. I know he is going very well as an edge backrower for us this year, but we need more size and punch through the middle. We have an abundance of edge backrowers. I would have told Leilua that I want him to be our "alpha" prop. If we had just played him prop with Pasifiki Tonga as another prop and Halangahu as the edge backrower and Reed at halfback. I think we would have won at least half our games this season.

If I was Flanno, I would have been looking to sign Jenkins before the season started and trying to get an early release.

You all know who else I would have been offering big money to play fullback or 5/8 for us next year too.

He wont be getting 1.2 mil, anywhere else on a 5 year deal, he's going nowhere.
Koloamatangi is playing injured. He certainly wasn't anywhere near as effective as he usually is last week or the week before when he sustained the injury. I think he should be rested for his sake and Souths sake as he will be needed at the pointy end of the season for them. I also have him in my Supercoach team and if he continues to play injured, he isn't worth having.

I've said a few times, I think Flanno wants out. He's a grandfather and he's tired. The criticism Kyle has gotten really hurts Flanno and the whole family, as he said.

But if he walks away, his payout is substantially less or nothing at all. So he wants to get sacked.

Nothing else about what he is doing makes any sense to me.
Apparently he said he won't make changes because there is no one else.

Well we know and senior management certainly knows that is a lie. Looking at the way ressies are playing, common sense tells us that is a lie. Why would he say that? Not only is it a lie but it's an insult for the likes of LPT in particular.

Is Flanno trying to sabotage us? Leave us in a worse state to make it hard to get new players unless we pay overs to stuff up our salary cap and stuff our juniors up. I tell you this whole saga is a mess and a half. 2026 cannot end quick enough and this nightmare might continue for a few more years yet. Oh my God.

Trying to dig in for a payout instead of walking away
Heads need to roll over all of this

I genuinely think Flanno does what he thinks is his best chance to win 'that' weekend.. this is what hes done for the last 3 years.. not rly sure what else anyone would expect.. hes not going to suddenly start double-guessing himself and taking random selection ideas from the grandstand.

If we don't like it... we need to sack him, but we will also need an alternative to be interim coach... and whoever that is... is very likely to lose most if not all of their upcoming matches too... its dire stuff honestly.

It is dire but it's not going to start getting better until Flanno is sacked!

but I agree with you that he is better than Sloan.
Not in attack he aint. Has Dufty ever stood up a player the calibre of Pappy, the way Sloan did couple of yrs back. Recall he split the line and when fronted by Pappy, he feined to kick, which the Storm custodian fell for by stopping in his tracks and readying to turn. Sloan sensed this then swerved past him and under the sticks. A dead set piece of footy magic. Brilliant in attack with obvious ball skills plus vision, but Sloan messed up his own career over an odd fear of putting his body on the line in defense.

Jesus, he has to go today. Loko looks to be a popular member of the playing group too. This will impact on others, especially the youngsters. No wonder Finau Latu wanted out too. Far out.

Reading through that it's utterly flabagasting he is still in reserve grade. I'm coming around to the idea Flanno wants to get sacked and get a payout.

You may want to revisit the Anzac Day try that Dufty scored a few years ago. Made half the Roosters team including Tedesco look like traffic cones
