Jeez a sloppy Walsh almost handed them a six pointer in the 26 min, but Knowles spilt it too. Then he almost let Young score five mins later by failing to knock the ball out of play. Fair to say the whiz kid has not started this game well.
Where are you watching it?

Poms allow Munster room from a poor read, then he dummies and the sliding defense are too late to stop him sliding over. Clearly momentum not double movement but the Pom bunker too three looks before awarding it.

Cant argue over the Walsh incident where he took out Young. Almost as tho he did it on purpose as he primed himself. At the least the connection was in the air and he used no arms.

Walters has taken his time to introduce Lindsay Smith who looks keen in attack and defense. I'd start with him next game.

There goes the siren to end an unenthralling game.

Roos will feel flattered by that win. No Aussie stood out so no idea for MOM. Prob a Pom as it was they who dominated possession and applied an almost swarming defense to nullify our go forward. They prob showed more structure in attack too than us. Walters should have had this side primed to play out of their skins, but he did not. Still it wraps yet another series win for the mighty Kangaroos.

A chance to play Best, Moses, Strange in the dead rubber but will Walters risk his Roos coaching job should they lose and miss a clean sweep..

Watching the way this team is coached, I can safely say the Broncos would not have won this year's gf if he was coach. Luckily I'm on holidays for many other reasons as this game failed to reach any heights.
Agree JO , but as you said enjoy your holiday and the game becomes secondary. I dont know what the selectors will think, I suppose winning a series is better than losing it. I also think nowadays the season here in Aus has become a very long one, how much our players really want to be there is the question. It should be the proudest moment of your life to put on an Australian jumper. After a grueling season here I dont know if that is still the mindset. Anyway I never thought much of him as a coach either.

Very apt point Jd. The season is too long and grueling. And all too often we lose some of our best players to injury. Still, having said that, the Kangaroos have always toured at season end. What needs to happen tho, is play reciprocal Ashes tours every four or even two yrs, cant expect our blokes to always travel 13000kms, eat strange food, drink warm beer then listen to 60K locals telling their boys to smash us. ;)

Walters did admit he’ll consider blooding some of the other members of the Kangaroos squad who have yet to see the field, Mitch Moses, Ethan Strange, Bradman Best, Dylan Edwards, Blayke Brailey, Jacob Preston.
"It would be nice to reward some guys. It’s been a great connection amongst the whole group – particularly with our training and preparation. The guys we’ve been training against have been very, very good.”

One change that Walters may have to make is at fullback as Reece Walsh could face a ban after being yellow carded for 'that tackle' (or perhaps ambush is more apt) on Dom Young. So Edwards will come in for him.

I suppose RVH with the Bears coming in it will take care of 1 bye, still get a couple during SOO. Still a long season though, now that the series is won I would blood everyone that is there.

Yep mate. Moses for either of the halves or #14, Best for either Staggs or Shiba, Strange in halves or centre, Smith starts over Collins. Brailey for Dearden. Have I missed anyone.

Nah Walters has been brutal by tossing the reserves under a bus. Only change is the return of Yeo for Smith who was only given a short time to impress last match. He shudda been promoted when Collins left the game, instead Walters added his Qld mate Cotter. Dont get me wrong as he is a workhorse but a bantam sized one. Poms impressed me as we let them, so Walters picks the same 17. Well his Roos coaching job is on the line if we are smashed in the dead rubber. We need blinders from Cleary, Munster, Collins, Carrigan, Staggs and Dearden.

Harry Grant has produced a masterclass to lead the Kangaroos to a 30-8 victory and a 3-0 Ashes whitewash over England. Well someone had to stand up after our mediocre showing in the last match. Nathan Cleary again failed to stamp his authority despite the Roo's convincing victory. Bit of a worry heading forward as he has been well below par for the entire series. Surely Mitchell Moses would have done a better job, but I suppose is hard to drop him given his reputation. First time I am rating Munster over Cleary too in a Roos series.
Make Harry our permanent captain from today.

Is now confirmed the League Ashes will again be a permanent fixture, but every four yrs. Unsure if they are all Kangaroo tours or reciprocal with the Poms touring here as well. Personally I vote for this, but every two yrs as four is a long time between drinks.

A redress is needed over the embarrassment seen when Kevin Walters opted not to play any of the six reserves in the third Test. This meant these guys, every one a quality player, had not one minute of game time on tour. A huge blow and with the series decided. The answer has to provide a provincial match between each Test, is the only way the reserves can play any meaningful footy and the only pathway they have to impress the coach to force their way into the Roos side. Mid week provincial games were the norm in past Roo tours, so is a no brainer to reintroduce them.
