First half was an arm wrestle with neither side gaining the acendency. Poms prob created the most chances with their short kicking game but unable to finish. Harry Grant was the difference sparking our attack every time he touched the ball and giving the opposition the heebie jeebies. Six pointer blown for mine in about the 28th min when Grant put Collins into a gaping hole but the prop ignored the looming support with their defense shot to bits. Collins was again in the game just before oranges when he went into AFL mode to bring down a bouncing ball and ground it in the skinny in goal. It was clearly on the line but their bunker inexplicably disallowed it.

Poms dominating possession and applying pressure well into the second stanza thanks to our rudderless attack, spilt ball and three wasted short line drop outs from Cleary. But as we have done all series we keep our line intact. Aussies need the leather. Give us five mins of ball and we will come up with the game sealer, scored by none other than, Harry Grant. Reece Walsh puts the icing on top with two late individual efforts. Poms had enuff ball to win two games but their finishing sucks.

Gotta call out Walters and his substitute policy, clearly favoring Qld players with big mins while Kolo for example is handed the scraps, having to wait till 65th min to play his part. That is tokenism and he is prob our biggest dude too, so we need his size and he has had barely any game time across the series. Also how many of the reserves are non Bananamunchers Walters, mostly Blues eh and the equivalent of the final 17. The guys you ignored. No offense to any bananamunchers reading this.

He probably wanted to prove a point RVH, but I reckon he would have got it anyway with the other players in the side. So as expected we won the series 3 - 0 , without some of our top line players. We weren't brilliant but had some good patches and still smoked the poms. as I said before we are way more advanced in our game, after watching their best go round it's no wonder when the Aussie players go there they are virtually superstars. Anyway maybe in 4 years time there will be an improvement but yes I would like the series to be in alternating countries.

Jd wanna thank you for supporting the thread, not occasionally but every time I posted. Have to say I am surprised by the lack of interest by most members in our national footy team.

I think the answer to avoid the grief these guys must've felt when left out of the dead rubber, is staring tour organisers in the face. I go back to the 80s Kangaroo tours and in addition to the three Tests there were about a dozen provincial games. Not only did these give the so called reserves some game time but a golden chance to push their case for an Ashes berth. I think a dozen of these mid week games is a touch unrealistic in todays hectic world, so next tour why not trim it to three with each to be be played before every Test.

See your point RVH, but as I said times have changed since the 80's, where its a heck of a long season here, and we are already in preseason training for next year, it makes for a lot of games these players have to perform in. And there would be nothing better for a pommie provincial side to take out a few Australian reps. I just wish Walters had played all of them in the dead rubber and everyone would have been happy.

Good points Jd.
With the series wrapped feel sure the starting 17 is happy to hand over the reins to those guys and say make it a clean sweep.
