Coach has picked him where I wanted. Now we'll find out if his motor matches his skill levelFinau Latu
HIA, he'll be back and in Firsts, betting on it.So it was a case of Finau not being selected.

Now I understand what's going on. There are 3 Finau's now. Finau Latu, Sione Finau and his brother. The first is the prototype for a good lock. I think the second Finau is the best winger in the club. Not sure what's going on with the 3rd. He always seemed ok to me. Like close to first grade but I haven't seen much. Does he lack fitness or can't tackle well enough?Coach has picked him where I wanted. Now we'll find out if his motor matches his skill level

A big bench. Add Jake, LKT and Finau and this a monster starting/rotation pack, with plenty of skill. Good we are persevering with Vili Fifita and was impressed by Kyle Stone in the trials.

They have Mike Molo and Tom Eisenhuth will drop back. Connor Muhleisen has been around a few years now as well. I hope Jake H and Nick T at least stay on the bench when the extended reserves go back to reserve grade. Obviously Latu as well but I can't see him going anywhere but up to first grade.KOE cup forwards are very green, especially the back row, would be nice if they had one more experienced front rower just to guide them through, especially the first few weeks, not sure how strong others KOE cup teams are compared to our group, but will be good experience especially for JakeH, where the level of player, defensive wise ,will be be better and bigger, so won't be busting tackles and running over players as he normally does, probably will be the same for the other as well.

Apologies. I just noticed the NSW Cup team is wrong. No number 17 and number 12 is actually 13. I've had a tooth giving me hell for the past several days. Got a root canal early this afternoon. That's my excuse for missing the mistake.

- Very young pack! I wonder what will happen when a few of the extended reserves drop back. #10 and #11 back to Jersey Flegg?
- #10 being fast tracked for NRL?
- Now we know why Finau wasn't selected for first grade.
- #3 playing at #3 is an interesting choice.
- I think this might be a position #4 excels in.
- Impressive centres though I thought #4 might have been promoted to NSW Cup.
- I don't know who #6 is but he must be good to keep #14 on the bench.
- Speaking of which, is #14 going to sit on the bench the whole game unless there is an injury in the halves?
- Hoping #5 goes well. Big, fast and seems to have some pretty good skill.
If Halangahu, Latu, Tonga, Egan, Nick T all play very well and the team wins, do Blocka and BMM make it back into the team? If not, where do they go?Tom will come into that, maybe even Blocka, plus Murders is not far off.

What is his injury? Not seen a peep out of him yet. Definitely off our bench once we pick up another prop. Want Mike Milo too, with Ryan Couchie. But Flanno will want BMM and/or RFM for added size.Lawrie
Lets hope Dan Lawson has turned him into one, or did he miss entire pre season, in which case he'll be no different to last season and remain a disappointment.Fifita isnt a rookie, but hes not one of those hard workhorses
I think it's just about time to give up on Fifita. Sorry to say it but really, his 5 min of intense activity then going missing doesn't cut it in Cup let alone first grade.Lets hope Dan Lawson has turned him into one, or did he miss entire pre season, in which case he'll be no different to last season and remain a disappointment.
The club hasn't, so perhaps they see the same promise in him as jodragon and I. If Lawson can double Vili's motor and he tries not to over complicate his play, then he may become a long termer for us. I know plenty of ifs.I think it's just about time to give up on Fifita.
He was signed by Griffin, let go early by Seibold and Flanno, has spent about 15 min in first grade and hasn't even close to stood out in Cup.First game is Flegg at 11am.
