I don't think anyone should take this too seriously. Flanno is merely putting a brave face on the situation. Trying to build up Kyle's confidence. He recruited Atkinson, extended LKT and had Hammoud playing in Jersey Flegg. Obviously Kyle isn't in the long-term plans at least as a starting 5/8. As is often mentioned, he was signed to play hooker apparently. I don't see any reason this wouldn't suit his game. Runs a bit, kicks a bit, passes a lot but not in the line and legs tackles. Aren't they the qualities of a good hooker?

Poor Flanno. Kyle is going to be his undoing as a head coach. IMO Kyle has been better than Ilias but should have been dropped because LKT is a 5/8 but in the interview he says Kyle has been one of the best. If Ilias has been the worst, Kyle has been second worst of the regular starters. No doubt at all. This is a tragicomedy for Dragons fans but just a comedy for everyone else.

There needs to be a Kyle Flanagan thread. Or put Kyle stuff in the same thread as a Flanno thread because it looks like their fate as a coach and a first grade player and linked completely.

As for the game, I'm tipping a big win for the Tigers. Everytime I do the Dragons end up winning so there is that. But mostly even aside from this Kyle and Ilias stuff, I can't make any sense of what Flanno is doing. Allan is on his last legs as a rugby league player. So Flanno drops Finau for some reason and gets a reserve grade centre nearing the end of his career to replace him while Lawson is playing very well in reserve grade. What's with that?

Why is Cook playing so many minutes and Liddle so few? Usually there is an immediate improvement when Liddle comes on. He should be playing at very least half the game.

I'm on the fence regarding Lawrie and Gular. Gular played well in the trials even though he's been really bad in the regular season. I guess Flanno thinks he can bring his form from the trials.

Yeah I think Gutho has played 5/8 and halfback at the Eels, I would just like us to have a decent pair of halves, I'm hoping LKT Atkinson and Reed can fill that slot for us for many years.

There will be a lot of questions asked if KF has a shocker, there are already rumors of nepotism, i really hope we can put this to bed by getting a win, KF is a 14 and should be there, we need creative and managing halves.

If Kyle plays badly and the team loses and then reserve grade keeps on winning...... there is going to be pandemonium.
