Sione is a good player and might get better but he is 23 years old and played 7 FG games, 3 of which he didn't finish.
Some of the reactions to his leaving are way over the top.
Sione wanted to stay we wanted to keep him but bad roster balance bites us again.
The OBs under contract next year, centre Val Suli backup Feagai Buchanan.

The club was waiting to offload a back before we committed to Sione.
He had already had a offer on the table from Qld that had been withdrawn so he wasn't going to let the Raiders offer go.
We are still in the market for a top line winger so I would prefer we got that signature.

I think Cook might be very close to securing our player of the year but I really can't understand why he was recruited. Liddle was among our best last year. Needed to go with Liddle for 60 min and then Connor Muhleisen or a makeshift hooker. Like Kyle for example.
Just an idea but do any other teams have 2 top-line hookers? I think most have an 80 min hooker or a makeshift hooker or a young hooker, not yet established to compliment the established hooker.

Kid could so easily handle 1st grade wing.. or atleast 1st drop centre replacement... there is quality in him, hes not going to have as many error as a lot of our young outside backs seem too do.
Hope his injury isnt too severe.. 1 good pre-season and he would be good to go.. wouldnt hurt Williams either to have a good preseason either after last year.. hes gotta do something with his ball carries though, dont know what it is.. hes trying to run over players.. i.e. its good hes not afraid of contact, but its resulting in balls coming free wayyy too often.. and its not the best way to use his speed either.
I have heard this rumour and hypothesised quite a few options lol.. just hope whoever it is, is a solid improvement over Sloan.
That said I feel we need 2 blokes, the main one is a fullback/winger to start preparing for life after Gutho + injury cover.. and the 2nd is just a flat out quality winger... if indeed we can spare 2 spots.. we still have Sloan/Rava/Lawson/Feagai/CT on the books..

my list of ex-dragons wingers is: Garrick, Saab, Schoupp, Schiller, Lomax, Bostock, Lobb, Feagai.. some of those would be incredible.. some would be meh..

Bostock would be incredible.
I guess Sloan covers wing/fb for next year, we don't have to rush into anyone imo but should get a gun winger. Like you've said, would love an athletic winger that can also do yardage work.
