( I believe he will ) This conception that he can't tackle a bit hit and miss , The kids there to spark to organize the team and our attack , not have to make tackles so if the rest of the team are doing their job he shouldn't be put in those situations .........

Totally agree, Jo. Look at Dearden at the Broncos around 2020. Everyone thought he was overrated, would amount to nothing, the usual. Same with Tanah Boyd for years at the Titans. Chuck those same players into teams that were better (at least NQ was doing sorta OK at the time), and look at the result. They have changed drastically.

Cheers, its akin to having a good racehorse do you send it to a breaking in trainer with a bad record of having rogue horses or do you wait for a good one to be available to give your horse the best chance of being broken in and realising its true potential

But that's not the reality in my view. He can organise, he can spark but we don't have the backline to take advantage of that.

I was taught it is the job of a good coach to identify the strengths and weaknesses of a player and develop both to the highest standard and ability of that player , same with your squad.

You say if the rest of the team are doing their job, unfortunately they are not and I honestly believe that this is not the right environment for our future 7 to develop both physically and mentally. Just my views

But that's not the reality in my view. He can organise, he can spark but we don't have the backline to take advantage of that.

He’s getting pounded what do you want him to develope ? Did you see some of the attempted tackles on Marzhew meanwhile his confidence is getting shot.

And there lays the problem mate. Only a small number are doing their job and have done exactly that for the last 13 games.

Our halves have been a massive problem for ages, even when we had Hunt playing with us. Lucky we had Widdop for a few years to at least get us several wins. But, now we have this dilemma with Reed. In my view we have panicked like crazy with trying to get the right combo in the halves for a few years with Hunt/Amone, Hunt/Kyle, Kyle/LKT now Reed/Atkinson/LKT - we are going all around the world and back trying to find the best combo and so many changes has stuffed everybody's confidence. Have any one of our halves shown brilliance in all facets of being a half back or 5/8th? I don't think so.

We really and truly need to get a half back that is evasive, a playmaker, a kicker, stronger in defence and so on. Pay for one. Reed just not ready for fulltime first grade I am sorry to say. Atkinson doesn't know if he is Arthur or Martha being the half then the 5/8th. Too much chopping and changing for my liking.

Anderson has got to sort this player mess quickly and management has got to get the fulltime head coaching sorted now - start the interviews. So what if Deano is interim. He is the interim and in the meantime get those interviews done now. Why wait? They have tested Deano's coaching skills a while back and now. He isn't the one we need.

He’s had a couple of tough games so I’d like to see him go back & continue to develop & maybe bring him back in later in the season for a few games.

Shonkies weren't able to find out Aston Ward.
But anyway, after LKT who made 17 tackles for 1 miss, Reed's defence was second best from 1~7. Keep him where he is for now. The aim should be to stick with him until Origin when hopefully the games will be a bit easier.

What they are saying is his partner just had a baby or is going to have a baby and wants to come back to Sydney ....... Maybe to be closer to family .......

Problem I see with Metcalf is his injury history. Im sure he missed a bit of last season with an acl just got back and did his hamstring. I like him as a player but its a very big risk to take and we have bad memories with the last Warriors we wanted to sign in Volkman

He does have stacks of talent. His attack is very good and defence wise is pretty good as well. His highlights reels show that he can set up, score and defend quite well. I'd go for him as our half back marquee.

Volkman would have been a great buy for us Joe if we had kept him in my opinion. Metcalf will do fine.
