Rorters - Donkeys game is good. I intensely dislike both but the fact Benny Hunt plays for one has me hoping the other will win.

But I wanted to comment on Sam Walker. They still get him to make tackles one on one occasionally and he misses a few but all in all, he misses so few it's not really even a weakness for the Rorters. This is the attitude we need with regard to Kade Reed. Expect his defence to improve another 15~20% but he's never going to be another JDB. Have to learn to protect him and be better at covering up his missed tackles is all.

Now we have Metcalf, Reed need not be rushed. Won't do him any good getting smashed every week for a year. Better he be killing it in reserve grade until he demands selection in first grade.

Bronson Xerri could be with the Storm by 30 June deadline. Storm negotiating with the Dogs for his early release. Expected that Xerri will sign a 3 year deal with the Storm. He was a toss up between them and the Eels - no mention about us.

Nanai what a player, that’s what you pay backrowers big coin for, some people wanted to pay Luch and keep him here ffs

I think with his physical traits and skill that Creighton Meafou could be that style of player like Nanai is, not saying as good but you never know

dont disagree ... CM looks like a very good prospect ... still plenty of time to get to that level but on a decent trajectory.

It's so hard to keep that trajectory though, especially that last phase from NSW Cup to 1st Grade.. Creighton Meafou has had like a month or so of great footy, but struggled for the 12mths before that.. had a few good games in U17's.. the talent is in him though... and early on I thought maybe he was more of your Stephen Crichton mould.. i.e. could still end up @ctr.. but I think those days are well behind him now.. but the fact he could play ctr means he has some skills.

But yes Creighton looks a proper player, also has footy smarts, good hands.. like hes not just a runner.. and Mason Andrews I've been enjoying for a while now, looks every bit our next enforcer (other than Webster).... a Lawrie with footwork perhaps...

But consider guys like CST and Nick.. absolute weapon prospects yet im still not 100% they make it.. certainly hope they do.. then someone like Weatherall who fell off the perch.. Daniel Meafou who we thought might be close to as good as Latu.. also struggling (maybe just needs extra years), a lot of it is injuries of course.. but then someone like Egan who I actually 'didnt' think would make it.. hes the best of them all so far.. its so hard to predict the 1st grade runway and who will still be there even.

Hard to verbalise what I think but essentially I reckon this would be great for the league, create a bigger discrepancy in pay for players who want to stay at top sides for ‘unders’

When a bottom 4 club is offering 400k more than the current side, are they really going to be able to turn that sort of offer down?

I just hope our recruitment team have fully grasped it.
