Finau, sloan, feagai, ct. They've all got chances to extend or get another offer. The only one that falls into that category is Corey Allen
As far as I am aware, Finau and Allen are only signed until the end of this season. The others you have mentioned are signed until the end of 26. Id say Finau will be on the wing therefore if we are going to re sign Allen he will most probably be given the 1st chance at Holmes spot.Finau, sloan, feagai, ct. If you look at the draw realistically I can see possibly 2 more wins perhaps against the Rabbits and Cowboys leaves us on 22 points so no wooden spoon but definitely no semi finals, probably finish 15th. Another sad year for a once proud and feared clubIf things couldnt get any worse, they just have with Val gone, wow we've had some season ending injuries this year. If there is one club that cant handle it. it's the Dragons, bottom 2 for sure now.
Agree Jo, for a year that started with so much promise, its ending up in tatters. Lets Hope that KOE can do something this year that will give us fans something to cheer about. If you look at the draw realistically I can see possibly 2 more wins perhaps against the Rabbits and Cowboys leaves us on 22 points so no wooden spoon but definitely no semi finals, probably finish 15th. What's that supposed to mean? You have the patience of a saint Jo, good luck to you.
I'm usually ultra aggressive about promoting young players. Probably a bit too much. But after watching the U19s Origin game, even though that (&$%# overrated Canterbury halfback runs 10x more than he passes, Buchanan needs the next off season to get bigger and stronger before he plays NRL. Getting smashed won't do his confidence any good. In my view anyway. If you’re happy to have Allan & Feagai on the flanks rather than speed then good luck to you.
FTR I’d like to see Buchanan given a shot.
Absolutely correct in fact he is no sure thing to take that last staircase to 1stsI'm usually ultra aggressive about promoting young players. Probably a bit too much. Anyone that pulls on a 1sts jersey for the big red V has my admirationI'm more confident he will make it than my good friendjodragon40 but Allen is really ok as a centre. He's a rubbish winger and can't believe Flanno picked him there in front of Finau a few weeks ago but as a centre, I'm not negative on him.
Just out of personal interest. When you were a coach did you seek advice from rival coaches on who you should or shouldn't pick? If rival coaches decided to give you advice on who you should pick, how would you have received that? This forum encourages robust conversations and all should feel free to air their opinions without fear or favour. However personal attacks on individuals cannot and should not be tolerated or encouraged. I view this particular reply as overstepping the boundaries and as a moderator will take the necessary steps.
Never ever. There are unwritten rules that coaches are aware of, protocols procedures and then the no go areas.Just out of personal interest. Thank you sir. Exactly as I expected. Any rival coach giving us advice should be slammed instantly so it never happens again. It's insulting! Any fan who cites a rival coaches opinion about OUR TEAM either has an ulterior motive or is laughably stupid. Agreed?Never ever. So in my day the 3 coaches, 1sts, ressies and U21 would of course get together each week and discuss selections and related in house issues, that's the norm. Every now and then an influential board member may attempt to put his 2c worth in but were ignored.
Coaches like players usually stick together but not in the eye of the public and social media domains.
No coach from outside your club or worth his salt would ever interfere or suggest especially publicly to another coach what you are asking.
