I predicted he'd come to us. Let's see if that plays out
Could say at 18 in Flegg he was playing against many kids older than him as he was still eligible for Ball. I have no doubt Reed can handle the step up to Ressies. I believe his skill set is already well developed for someone so young. Most of what he does looks instinctive to me. Defense is what he needs work on as he is gonna have to fell bigger and meaner middles, currently he either just clings on waiting for support or is trampled. I'd tell him to watch old footage of Peter Sterling, with his grass cutters sending big Pommie forwards crashing to the turf.Ressies will find you out because you are no longer playing against your own age, your up against men.
Heard it was Titans or Wakefield![]()

I'd hoped it was his big brother to reaquaint his Aussie Schoolboy partnership with our own Loko Jr. But the kid brother looks a good alternative.![]()

No way. S'ua has been one of our best. Cant afford to lose a back rower of his calibre.Get him for 26 if it means a player swap with sua.
You hit it on the head when you said" playing against kids older". Believe me in my experience the young rising stars making their ressies debut always has the biggest target on his back especially if he was a play maker. I reckon he had the first stage of his initiation last year and passed with flying colors as our prime game manager. Cant recall him being injured, not seriously anyway, so he also has a tuff body. You hit it on the head when you said" playing against kids older". Haven’t heard great things about his training ethic.![]()

Totally agree mate, I know everyone is excited and the club has gone above and beyond this time so we cant blame them for anything. Lets just all take a deep breath and think about if he doesn't sign, what is our plan B, do we have one ? We have obviously offered him more money, a longer contract and the ability to mentor our juniors, the only thing we cant offer him is success, he has to realise we want him so he can help achieve that. If he doesn't want to play for the Dragons then he doesn't, hope you enjoyed your free helicopter ride, now f#@k off and let us move on.The most important thing right now is that people don't lose it if he doesn't sign. I don't think the 5 years is that big a deal rather than 2 or 3 years. 4 years probably isn't good for him because it might be a year too early to retire or go to the ESL but a year too late to get another good money deal in the NRL.
I agree wholeheartedly with you Justa. The Club has done quite a lot to try and get KK to sign with the Dragons. At the end of the day us fans would have to accept it if he decides to remain at Souths.Totally agree mate, I know everyone is excited and the club has gone above and beyond this time so we cant blame them for anything. Excuse my ignorance but not sure if I've heard of him. Who does he play for now?Plan b for Keaon could be Ata Mariota
Raiders, he’s only 23, off-contract the same time as KK.Excuse my ignorance but not sure if I've heard of him. Who does he play for now?
They usually factor it in. Like something where salaries raise at the same % of the cap or where players are paid as a % of the cap.Assume there'd be a fair bump of the salary cap with upcoming TV rights deals.
