Ressies will find you out because you are no longer playing against your own age, your up against men.
Could say at 18 in Flegg he was playing against many kids older than him as he was still eligible for Ball. I have no doubt Reed can handle the step up to Ressies. I believe his skill set is already well developed for someone so young. Most of what he does looks instinctive to me. Defense is what he needs work on as he is gonna have to fell bigger and meaner middles, currently he either just clings on waiting for support or is trampled. I'd tell him to watch old footage of Peter Sterling, with his grass cutters sending big Pommie forwards crashing to the turf.

You hit it on the head when you said" playing against kids older". Believe me in my experience the young rising stars making their ressies debut always has the biggest target on his back especially if he was a play maker. Just based on my experiences.

The big question, money aside, is will K K trust committing himself to a club that has not made the finals for 8 yrs, as given he is now a fully fledged Kangaroo he can pick and choose. Another suitor the Raiders are recent grand finalists and they have recruited astutely. One thing I reckon we have in our favor and may sway him is the sea change lifestyle away from footy we are offering he and his young family. That and financial security all in the one package.

I reckon he had the first stage of his initiation last year and passed with flying colors as our prime game manager. Cant recall him being injured, not seriously anyway, so he also has a tuff body.

The most important thing right now is that people don't lose it if he doesn't sign. I don't think the 5 years is that big a deal rather than 2 or 3 years. 4 years probably isn't good for him because it might be a year too early to retire or go to the ESL but a year too late to get another good money deal in the NRL.
Totally agree mate, I know everyone is excited and the club has gone above and beyond this time so we cant blame them for anything. Lets just all take a deep breath and think about if he doesn't sign, what is our plan B, do we have one ? We have obviously offered him more money, a longer contract and the ability to mentor our juniors, the only thing we cant offer him is success, he has to realise we want him so he can help achieve that. If he doesn't want to play for the Dragons then he doesn't, hope you enjoyed your free helicopter ride, now f#@k off and let us move on.

I agree wholeheartedly with you Justa. The Club has done quite a lot to try and get KK to sign with the Dragons. At the end of the day us fans would have to accept it if he decides to remain at Souths.

Warriors and now the Rorters also out to land Koloamatangi. Have our chances now plummeted with uncle Nick in the race. In any case I reckon he'll stay loyal to the Rabbits, specially if he is already on good coin. Is Xavier Va'a our plan B or we dont have one.
