Possibly but I think he'll go with Sims and Bird on the bench through it's certainly a contentious call.
Problem with that is if you have Sims, Bird on bench then you need a utility player Mbye on bench and only 1 other prop, Molo so a 3 prop rotation so that means no room for Burgess, thats why I believe Bird will start we will see next week. I believe the bench will be Sims, Molo, Mbye and Burgess.

Sorry. That was poorly worded. I meant, he'll go with Sims starting and Bird on the bench. I agree with your bench, only swapping Bird with Sims.

The good news is that in 10 days, all the speculation will be over.

I think he'll go with Sims as well. I don't know if you saw it but around 10min into the second half, a Souffs forward ran close to Bird. Bird threw out an arm and the Souffs forward kept on going like...... like the defender had only throw out an arm. Not saying Bird's defence is bad. It isn't but in the forwards, I don't think there's any doubt Sims defence is better. So IMO better to put Bird on after 20min or so when the initial sting from the early exchanges has somewhat subsided.

Roy Masters in a Fairfax piece was still writing us off. Doing it in a bizarre way. Like he has no idea what he is talking about. Or, what doe she mean by this?

Firstly, what is "a young veteran"? Secondly, what does he mean by "hurting at both ends of the age spectrum"? The team is too young and too old at the same time? Has Roy Masters gone senile?
I had a look on the webpage which I don't usually do and found this:

Wooden spoon? St George Illawarra Dragons answer critics with shield win over Souths

Mudgee: Any talk about St George Illawarra being wooden spoon contenders should end now.

It was Souths’ home game in Mudgee, but the men in the Red V did most of the entertaining on Saturday night.
Then they talked about Ben Hunt's game. How good it was in attack, defence and kicking.
Throw in the additions of livewire fullback Tyrell Sloan, as well as left-edge combination Cody Ramsey and Moses Suli, not to mention back-row aggressor Jaydn Su’A, and the Dragons will not be pushovers most weeks.
This was weird. I think the other side of Lomax and Rava is more dangerous.
Most bookies have the Dragons second favourites for the dreaded gong behind the Wests Tigers. What nonsense.

Dragons coach Anthony Griffin watched his side have nearly 50 points put on them last year. Just as he did not read too much into that defeat, he was not about to get carried away with a gritty win. “The first 40 minutes were really good, it was a good standard from both teams, but the second half turned into a real trial,” Griffin said.
“Last year he [Hunt] only played 15 games, and with any team, when you’ve got an experienced half like that, you want him to control games like the way he did [on Saturday].”
Ok Mr Griffin, we all know there were some difficult circumstances last year. Please stop making excuses.
