can’t lie he does speak well, very stoic. Leader of men like
If we do improve, I think a lot of it will be due to the inclusion of Reed and you could also add Pasifiki Tonga to the equation as well. I thought Flanno should have been playing both of them all season. I also think if he did play them, he may still be coaching.I don’t know the story behind Ennis’ exit, but if it was his call because he didn’t want to be tied to a club sitting at the foot of the ladder, then I hope the record shows what happened next, the real improvement came after both Ennis and Flanno were out of the picture
I agree, Illusion. He presents as someone of strong character, and it would be a genuinely positive outcome if he were the one to turn the club around.I'm starting to warm to him after hearing this .......
Imagine the feeling Kade Reed had after young drove to his house to tell him that personally
That’s awesome to hear the way it played out
Sounds like good coaches are developed in the Illawarra region. Good fundamentals are trained early.Deano knows Kades dad, he is highly respected in the local coaching circles.
He was on Dragons lower grade coaching staff same time as Deano and Ben and would be Kades harshest critic
We got to keep all these young forwards. Our pack in 2028 could be unbelievable if they stick together and all get 30-40 games under their belts over the next couple of years.Deano on nrl 360 spoke very well too. Interesting re the attack, he indicated that Kade will help straighten it & it'll allow some space to the outside backs. Atko will remain the main kicker, so I assume he'll play on the right since he's a right foot kicker. Also sounded like he wants to have a youth focus. All ticks for me.
You forgot the clincher my friend. By getting Reed in he got the special one out hahahaWhat more could we ask for, he got Ennis out and Reed in, there is a god, or at least DY for now![]()

To be honest, I feel sorry for Kyle. He gets pumped from pillar to post and it’s due to his old man. He’s played 50 games for us. Missed 4 games in 2024 due to suspension, missed zero games in 2025 and missed 1 game this year vs Nth QLD after he was knocked out vs the GC.In some bazaar way I actually think KF will thrive in that position. I'm also surprised he hasn't asked for a release. no one would take him, maybe ESL.
Agree, did KF a disservice and contributed to his own demise. To be honest, I feel sorry for Kyle. He gets pumped from pillar to post and it’s due to his old man. He’s played 50 games for us. That’s 5 games in 2 and a bit years, picked every other available game. It wasn’t his fault. His old man needs to wear that plus the continual dribble of Kyle being top 3 or 4 every week, best half in the club. Surely the dopey old man should have thought hang on, engage brain before opening mouth.
I really can’t see Kyle picking up another gig once he’s done with us which in all seriousness could be at the end of this season, 1 year early. ESL will be his only option. No shame in that but his old man really did him a disservice and made him a very easy and laughable target each week
