Can't win them all. Lost our way after Glover was binned and the Eels scored two tries never really recovered and the halves failed to conjure up anything decent in the 2nd halfWell that was a shit show started to believe their own hype,
Agree Jo, on to 1st grade with me having no confidence at allCan't win them all. Lost our way after Glover was binned and the Eels scored two tries never really recovered and the halves failed to conjure up anything decent in the 2nd half
You nailed it all with the 1st dot pointNSW Cup Notes (36-22 Loss):
- It was all going perfectly at 16-6 before Ramsey copped an ankle injury and went off soon after + Glover got sinbinned for holding a player back that noone saw.. and Parra scored twice in that period and really sort of dominated for most of the game from there.. confident and a couple of speed men were a bit much for us.
- I do feel like there are a lot of blow-ins now that NSW Cup is going well, and I feel they got found out a bit once things didnt go to plan for once.
- Ilias was pretty awful, pretty much everything he did didnt come off.. and he was trying obviously to showcase himself for 1sts, not blaming the loss on him, just mentioning it because its going to come up as a topic all week, especially if we lose in 1st grade.
- Losing Ramsey was huge.. Sloan obviously a handy replacement (and was stoked/energetic to get to play fullback again) but its just not the same, he didnt rly do much wrong though, and nearly pulled off a highlight reel moment, but also it messed up the outside backs, we had Haele playing with Sione on 1 edge.
- Nick although some powerful runs got found out at ctr today, fast skillful players is too much for him, insert my daily rant that he should have been playing in the 2nd row for months now.. mickey mouse stuff.
- Sione dropped bombs and didnt have his happiest day, he did score a try and put one on for his brother.
- Glover was ok but got burnt 1 time by Volkman in defence.
- Tonga was pretty solid, Sele was pretty solid bar 1 mistake I recall
- Buchanan was average, its time to drop him to Flegg imo and promote Heidke
- Connor early on put on 2 tries I think, some rly good dummy half work
- Noone else really stood out, it was a game where once we lost momentum against a Top3 side with good halves, oh and a goalkicker 6/6 with most from the touchline.. that was just a bit too much.. not embarrassed though, just stuff didnt go our way, and the injury+sinbin was the difference.
So hopefully the Nick T in the centres project may now come to an end. We will find out the real character of the team and coach next week against a pretty ordinary Sea Eagles team.NSW Cup Notes (36-22 Loss):

Dragons by 8 mate. Play to our strengths, play down the middle and edges and we should win this game.Agree Jo, on to 1st grade with me having no confidence at all
im a loungechair fan so what do I know.. im just getting a bit pi$$ed off because we have an outstanding right centre and right 2nd rower, but we dont think like that.. we dont put next man up in a position, we rotate players out of position instead, and I dont think it works.. I think it just muddies water and denies development of the player, and it doesnt even result in success in 1st grade.. but im not an expert.. but I do find other clubs have changed their view on this stuff.. age isnt a barrier anymore, the comp is faster and younger. So hopefully the Nick T in the centres project may now come to an end. We will find out the real character of the team and coach next week against a pretty ordinary Sea Eagles team.
Don’t agree with the Nick T assessment. Got caught out once when we had 12 men, that happens. Plenty of 1 on 1 misses that led to tries. 1 from Halangahu, 1 from RFM, 1 from GloverSo hopefully the Nick T in the centres project may now come to an end. To me it's like a real job. So you have a very promising mechanic who wants to learn his trade and be the best he can. Then the Boss thinks well if he's good with the cars mechanics maybe he can work on the cars electrical system. Would you do that in the real world? Of course not, so why not let the kid develop his skillset in his position?im a loungechair fan so what do I know.. im just getting a bit pi$$ed off because we have an outstanding right centre and right 2nd rower, but we dont think like that.. we dont put next man up in a position, we rotate players out of position instead, and I dont think it works.. To each their own but he doesn't possess the required speed to play centres in my personal view.Don’t agree with the Nick T assessment. Got caught out once when we had 12 men, that happens. Plenty of 1 on 1 misses that led to tries. 1 from Halangahu, 1 from RFM, 1 from Glover
Problem is Jo, no one out wide is banging the door down unfortunately. In my opinion Buchanan has been bog average everyweekTo each their own but he doesn't possess the required speed to play centres in my personal view.
What makes these coaches think he can play centre, I still dont believe he should have been a centre in the NRLTo each their own but he doesn't possess the required speed to play centres in my personal view.
Who knows what these coaches think mate. Flanno is a stubborn bugger. Personally Nick should be on the bench playing in the back row but then who plays centre?? Corey Allan?? Been a dogs breakfast all season this teamWhat makes these coaches think he can play centre, I still dont believe he should have been a centre in the NRL
Yeah I suppose unless we are right in the thick of it we will never know nor be able to figure it out. Very frustrating though mate, or should I say the Dragons are very frustrating.Who knows what these coaches think mate. Flanno is a stubborn bugger
I'm not sure. I have always said a backrower. Perhaps we lack a genuine centre coming through JF.What makes these coaches think he can play centre, I still dont believe he should have been a centre in the NRL
