Jersey Flegg Notes (64-6 Win):
  • Obviously a dominant win, parra were good in patches but we kept turning them away and just kept the scoreboard moving the whole time..
  • Reed obviously great as usual, his sidekick Heidke being back also got us off to that early lead, just putting on tries and setting them up, they are like batman and robin these two.. Heidke also took an epic contested bomb also, its why I think he could play wing up a grade or 2 if we needed it while he develops.
  • Hammoud is getting better each week after a long lay out.. some rly nice ball playing to set 1 try up that I recall, and put on a big hit in defence.. just starting to look sharper again.
  • Williams had a great game, one length of the field he managed to run himself this time, and another decent wingers try.. some good tackle busts... he pulled up with a leg injury after 1 of them late in the game.. didnt go off but im very nervous about these repeated leg injuries... but far out I wish this kid could have some luck.. lots of potential.
  • TPH had a good game too at the back.. I suppose everyone has a good game when u score 60 points.. but its good cause hes struggled a bit at this grade.. he also gets foul play every game.. hes so small.. gets us some penalties but I do worry about him.
  • Hutcho might be in some strife for a hip drop, Ackers came back into the grade and looked pretty unfit but solid obviously for a player of his standing at this level, CST was good again, I mean they are all solid...
  • Treweek had a rly good game too, he set up atleast 1 try I can recall, and a 1on1 strip, and Lyric scored 3 tries with some classy finishing...
  • Just a really dominant game obviously.. against the team above us on the table.. but again the first half of the season was completely different without all thr SG Ball kids moving up, and next week we play the team running 2nd last, so this is a good little period of the year for the team.
  • That said I wouldnt mind CST, Reed, Heidke, Williams (if he can stay healthy), these guys are ready whenever we as a club are ready to move forward.. obviously challenging times right now at the top level however... which we might need to sort out first.

  • Lyric Craft-Te Moananui or Te-Moananui or LCT promoted to Ressie reserve. Really rate this guy, obviously Willie does too. Giant Loko Jr will add the size to the pack lost by Fifita while Jake is off the bench to crunch some lazy players.
