Other Clubs In 2025

I know things haven't been good for the Dragons for a while but spare a thought for Wests Tigers fans. They are a reminder that things at the Dragons could be much worse.

Saw this beauty from Corey Parker
He's a seriously stupid guy. clubs have to take a chance on the player and pay his contract in full unless another club picks up all or part of the contract. Or players the rare event of players deciding they've had enough like Gaz and Mez. Point is, it's not the same.

If there is one thing I will credit Hunt for, well one more thing. If he was playing with a good playmaker in the halves but not expected to be a playmaker himself, he probably would have really been good. But anyway, if there is one more thing I'll give to Hunt, he doesn't have any issue criticising teammates or former teammates.

HUNT’S LATEST POT-SHOT AT DRAGONS

The tit-for-tat between Ben Hunt and the Dragons just continues. The latest relates to Hunt’s comments during the week about the “new toys” he gets to play with at the Broncos, that could be perceived as a dead-set slap in the face to his former teammates.

Let’s not forget the Dragons finished 11th last season on the NRL ladder ahead of the Broncos who came home 12th. But that didn’t stop the former skipper rubbing salt into the Dragons’ wounds. Hunt told The Courier Mail during the week: “I remember coming home from training a few weeks ago and I said to my wife I feel like I have all these new toys to play with at training.

“She said, ‘What are you talking about’. “I said, ‘I get the ball off ‘Reyno’ and give the ball out the back to Reece and I have ‘Tones’ (Kotoni Staggs) on one side. “It’s really exciting to have such high calibre players around me.”

You can understand that Hunt is excited to be back in Brisbane, and there is no doubt he has a talented roster around him. But even if Hunt’s comments were not meant to be a direct dig at the Dragons, as if the Dragons won’t use them as motivation down the track.

I would say "good luck at your new club" but it wouldn't be genuine so I won't. But I wish Zac Lomax good luck at his new club.

Penrith are going to be very hard to beat again. Are they favourites to go 5 in a row?

Going to be a massive debacle for Souths when Dolphins still beat them with a number of their team sitting it out. Looking forward to that.

Last night Dolphins had the following out:
  • Bostock
  • Finefuikai
  • Kaufusi
  • Nikorima
  • Nicholls
  • Gilbert
  • Plath
  • Saifiti
  • Flegler
but still did that to the Cowboys who were only missing one fringe first grade centre last night. A coach who has recruited a fast, exciting team and given them license to play some football.

Penriff implicated in a gambling scandal and Souffs and Rorters implicated in illicit drugs use and selling. The Grubs captain outed for being the ultimate grub but protected by the NRL. Cream rises to the top:unsure:.

I wonder what the Shonkies are up to these days. Using PEDs, cheating the cap?

Dogs were always overrated. Coach had them defending well from the start of the season and they got out to such a good start. But I think we can say they have gone back down to earth with a thud. Galvin is unbelievably overrated though it might be because he's a 5/8 playing halfback.

No one really stands out in Penrith reserve grade team. Laurie is by far their best but I'd prefer Gutho.

“We spent a truck load of money exploring a $23 million centre of excellence – $8 million from state and $15 million from federal. Eventually, the state office of sport said they’d waited too long, that the money was sitting there, and they reallocated it.”

The Sharks sold swaths of land around the club, which is now surrounded by apartment blocks, a hotel and a shopping centre, but have nothing to show for it. They’re about to borrow more than $35 million to rebuild their club, which has been shut for six years.

Yet when the government was throwing money around like confetti, the ball was dropped. They’re unlikely to be awarded a “six again”.

Shonkies front office are doing their part in shutting down that organisation whose only mission is to weaken the Dragons. Now our front office has to work to do all it can to shut them down for good. Shonkies supporters can support Souffs or Rorters.

Shonkies burning through money they don't have, Souffs and Rorters engulfed in a drugs scandal. Maybe we are being too negative about the Dragons. A number of players ignored the illogical COVID rules to engage in a BBQ. At the end of the day, that is NOTHING. Dragons are still profitable even with the team struggling for a number of years.

The Jewish mafia running the Rorters will be able to sweep this under the rug but I don't know how the hapless Shonkies are going to turn it around. They already spent all the money from their big development but have nothing to show for it. Bottom line, be profitable off the field will bring about success on it and vice versa.
