Peter Badel is my new favourite rugby league journo after he gave it to Tallis on Fox last night for his hypocrisy over Adam Reynolds:
"You picked and chose when you played,” Badel said.

β€œYou sat out a whole season"

Peter Badel: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
And Tallis's answer to that was he did it to the Dragons not Bronco's, made himself look like more of an idiot !!!

FFS, I give up. Same ref, same part of the field, Tedesco after catching the same kind of small bomb, much more flagrantly ran behind his own player, all the Penrith players put their hands up and looked at the ref who let Tedesco keep running for another 50m and play on.

It was the right call. It's not like Rorters players can disappear but why were the Dragons penalised while play on for the Rorters? I blame our *+?><`* front office. If they were serious they'd have demanded this fuking ref still be in reserve grade for another 2 weeks at least!

Well after watching the Bronco's / Storm game, it's all about attack with Faalogo, he has nothing in defense, just watch his efforts in trying to stop a couple of try's. I have no doubt the Bronco's watched our game and saw how he carved us up, he scored one try but they kept him fairly well under control for the rest of the game. Considering he was the one that blew our game apart maybe its a lesson learnt for next time.

Flanno should have known himself or through the other coaches that Tamale was a very good player, even Sione Finau looked the goods, im a bit bewildered by letting them go. Our current wingers and back up are average. If these 2 right now were our wingers we would be much stronger for it.
I've said this elsewhere but 2024 we spent so much time with Tamale at fullback and ctr, and he was found wanting in those positions.. so it wasn't the end of the world if he wanted to go... but by end of year he was working well at wing.. but he's already signed elsewhere by that point... he also had a huge offseason and rly worked on his pace, probably leaned up a little.. almost unrecognisable tbh, but his ability to stampede through defenders is a pretty universal NRL trait.

Feel like we did the groundwork on him (same with Lomax) and others r benefiting.. but whether Flanno would have backed him even if we did know he was a pure winger I dunno.. it might be more a generational issue between Flanno and backing young blokes.. that's rly part the component I feel flanno is missing and will sink him as an NRL coach.. he seems to have a hard favour towards experienced/hardened/big-bodied NRL players, and so he's not looking to take any gambles on young emerging talent.. certainly not in the backline.. and certainly not if he has a choice.

His approach probably works 10yrs ago when recruitment was so much easier.. you really could pull quality players it wasn't the sellers market it is now... but it doesn't work anymore, and Shane doesn't seem to be adapting from his sharks days to what's in front of him today... real a shame cause Shane obviously has some really positive attributes as a coach, but unless he's able to adapt he is dead in the water (and us with him).

And meanwhile our juniors disappear whilst waiting for a shot, I understand he debuted some juniors last year but that was primarily through injuries, and what he did to Finau after one game, well enough said. You are correct his downfall will be his failure to see what we have, I'm sure Anderson does. As I said before when Flanno was in recruiting pathways, who did we actually get ?

To my eye he has always been a defensive liability. He is not a good defensive organiser from fb. Very similar to young Sloan has points in him but can't organise, although his attacking prowess is far greater than Sloan.

He failed to make a tackle one on one twice last night and the Ponies took full advantage of his personal frailties.
