Feel like no one really wants to move to Perth. Actually a really nice place just super far away from friends and family most likely. The big danger is PNG. They are going to be a powerhouse with the tax free salary plus third party deals. Can see them fielding a very good side in their first year. Chammas seems to know what he is doing aswell. Pretty sure he was a Dragons fan could have been a good get for our gm of footy.

Hope Dolphins lose tonight. They have a lot of young, fast outside backs and have recently extended Averillo and Cobbo and are looking to extend Farnworth. A couple of those young, fast outside backs might look for an early release.

Richo is 100% right, its a rort, and I can tell you that the only reason the Aus Gov is on board with this is to have a sweetener deal with PNG and keep China at bay. It's got f$#k all to do with the NRL But in the meantime lets just f%$k up the already diminished player pool in Aus.

this diminished player pool garbage is just that ...

in the 80s the population of the country was about half what it is now and we had a 13 team comp that was pretty good ...

The issue is not the amount of talent, it is how it is spread. You can have more players/more teams and if the average spread in each team is equivalent put on a good show .. the issue will be the "cap" and unbalanced nature of player distribution which happens now.

It is closely matched capable teams that put on a good show, there have been plenty of examples of club games that are far superior to SOO simply because they were matched not stacked.

If you bothered to read what I wrote, I agree with you, all we are now doing is giving PNG another unfair advantage in the spread of those players. As Richo said Luai is going to the Chiefs for money and nothing else.

Hasn't been much to cheer about this season but at the least the Bullgrubs are also struggling in what is supposed to be their premiership window.
