Noticed KK on the ground seeking trainers attention while clutching at one of his legs in the last minute of the game against the Raiders. I hope he hasn't done anything to that crook knee of his.
Nothing has been said about KK post game so looks like it was ok fingers crossed. Certainly would not like to see any of our new signings come down with a long time out injury.

I only saw the second half of the Parramatta-Penrith game but I saw JDB only had 25 run metres! Club has gotten a lot wrong in regard to recruitment and retention and JDB is a club legend who carried the pack for a number of years but he should've retired at the end of last season.

I would have preferred 1 year of bench Jack vs 1yr of Guler/Lawrie/Sele, but they were all on contract anyway... did we buy Kerr after Jack left? I think we did.. I couldnt have anticipated how badly Kerr has gone though.. 1 year hes in qld camp and now hes struggling in nsw cup...

But we offered Jack 1yr, he left us for a so-called 2yr deal where the 2nd year was never going to eventuate anyway.. thats rly on him..

We retain Jack Rev and lose a junior I reckon. As it is players not getting either any chance or lots of minutes in NRL.

IMO letting go of JDB was the right move. He's not NRL standard anymore. But equally bringing Josh Kerr back was astonishingly ridiculous. I thought DA was to blame but it was pointed out to me it was Flanno or whoever was managing recruitment for him, not DA. That makes sense. A par for the course for Flanno's recruitment.

Dare I say Harran !!

To be somewhat fair to Flanagan, Kerr is 5 years younger than JDB, and was playing pretty decent footy off the bench for the Dolphins. It wasn't a terrible signing at the time - similar in many ways to the Hame Sele signing - but it simply hasn't worked out

He was crap the first time with the Dragons should have been a lesson learnt.

I don't follow the Dolphins closely but they were flying in the middle part of last year. But the younger version of Josh Kerr when he should have been at this best was very poor for us. Then they went and brought him back!

Kerr has merit in the attacking 20 if shape/distribution allow him to target individuals ... essentially he needs to run off attacking threats like JMK/Katoa ...
Instead he gets Kyle. Similar to how ineffective Luc was vs the Warriors the organisation/distribution/ball play/line engagement of Kyle is so bad he makes those around him worse.

Kerr off Metcalf will be a different proposition to Kerr off Kyle

You think Kerr will be in first grade next year? I'd certainly go with Halangahu, Hutchinson, Nick T before him let alone KK, Couchman's, Stewart, Egan, LPT.

Unless we actually get into the market and recruit another edge forward or two then Kerr/Webster for me in that last spot
Nick T is overhyped beyond what he has actually delivered - could very well be the bloke we want but unless he is given time in cup to actually develop into that edge forward role he will forever struggle to put his 1st grade claims forward beyond jumper 18 and not playing.
Hutchinson developing nicely but isnt top 30 next year so will be behind others.

Kerr can barely play 10mins of 1st grade, picking him is fraught with danger when better options are available. Kerr will be fwd depth & we should try to get Perth to pick him up this off-season, he's a salary cap handbrake. The responsibility is on Kerr to perform, making excuses for him is dangerous.

Dunno if I'd say NickT is overhyped.. he did kill it in U19 origin years ago, hes done a good apprenticeship, all be it half at ctr.. but his issue has been injuries and the timing of injuries.. its the same as a few of them.. if u cant get big blocks of footy.. u get stalled.. just when they start to look promising.. boom and you have to start all over again.. I do agree though that I was pretty confident he and heidke would be good 2 go by 2026 or 2027.. but not yet..

It would really help us if Nick did stay healthy though.. I think he would be the perfect benchie for us covering 2nd row, ctr and I think he can cover prop too at some point.. he is an absolute weapon if he can take the next step.. nothing like our other 2nd rowers.
