Other Clubs in 2026

Just how good a centre is Herbie Farnworth? He's like Gaz and Coops rolled into one.
I think Herbie is the best player in the NRL. We talk about great wingers fullbacks and halves, but this guy in the centres is absolutely the difference in many games, his physique is spot on for modern day footy and he just knows how to beat a player or players and head for the try line.

A fantastic player to watch, he unfortunately has Roosters written all over him.

There are clubs who attempt to sign "better" players - looking back at our signings in the past 6 years they were supposed to be better than what we had, but every year under the coaching of Griffin and Flanagan they turned out not so good. Under Young, the new signings on paper look pretty good - just hoping that they don't fall into the same category as the other years' signings.

On the other hand the Roosters sign not better but great players which shits me. Like, they have the monopoly of getting the best by hook or by crook and for years we grizzle about it with Uncle Nick and his paper bags. There are no paper bags but good administrative business management and knowing how to add incentives to help life after footy in a big way to many of those signed great players. Herbie can look forward to that. I am hoping the Dolphins throws everything at Herbie though to keep him at Redcliffe.

Well it was a mixed bag by our 2027 full back. Dropped a few high kicks, passed a ball that was intercepted for a try and assisted in a couple of tries for the Cows. He will still be great for us though.
He's an X factor player Dave and he plays on the edge at all times. I'm sure there will be games that will wonder what the hell he's doing and others that we will say its great to have him there. Can he play somewhere else and would we use him there, it will be a mystery until we see the team run out in Rd 1.

I am sure that Drinkwater will be the fullback for much of 2027, subject to him not suffering from harsh injuries. The players that Anderson has signed will be for fullback, halves, wing and forwards. A young up and comer will be picked in the centres.

We need players who have x factor and can change the course of a game one way or another leading to wins. A good attacking team brings more fans to games and we will have plenty of wins I have no doubt. Yes, Drinkwater made many errors last night, but he isn't Robinson Crusoe.

What I am really wanting to happen in Round 1 next year is us winning. That will set the scene for the year.

Bulldog’s Bite can reveal the State Government has no immediate plans to upgrade the dilapidated Ocean Protect Stadium.

The venue, nicked Portaloo Park, urgently requires a major revamp but no-one wants to step forward to help.

Ocean Protect Stadium was snubbed by the NRL as a finals venue over the weekend with Cronulla playing North Queensland at Allianz Stadium. And any hope of a Woolooware redevelopment appears forlorn.

“There are no current plans for the NSW Government to invest in Ocean Protect Stadium,” said a spokesman for Steve Kamper, NSW’s Minister for Sport.
This is a conversation a serious professional, national competition should have. The Shonkies potato patch is unacceptable. They need to relocate.

They were gifted the land originally

They should pay for any redevelopment themselves

Anyone know whether the Sharks have now received all of the money the developer was supposed to pay?
According to AI, they received $10 mil up front which they needed to pay off debts. They also get a few million per year. The total deal is worth a bit less than $60 mil. The team itself is loss-making, severely constrained by the home ground but club makes a relatively small profit. They are the only club without a COE and no plans to build one. Can't afford it.
