Watson will most probably miss out playing in the grand final Justa as his HIA was a grade 1 so mandatory 11 days no playing which means no grand final. He might as well pack up and come to the Dragons although I am sure he will be hanging around the Roosters for a little bit longer.
The Phins were not great at all last night. That Marky Mark winger was so good - basically won it for the Roosters and he will continue his good form next Sunday but as Rufus has mentioned, the Roosters were beaten by the Bunnies 50-20 in the last round and as no team has won the grand final after being beaten by 50+ points in the regular season, the winner of tomorrows game between the Panthers and the Knights will be the victors.

Trent Robinson's record in grand finals is very good in that when the Roosters made the grand final he has won them all - 2013, 2018 and 2019. So with his record he is likely to beat that 50+ score hoodoo and win the grand final. He doesn't know the feeling of losing a grand final so far.

Well the Phins got done 66-0 by the Sharks and still played in a prelim. Their goal line defense was diabolical, somehow I dont think the scores that get put on you this year has much to do with winning or losing a GF anymore.

Anyway at least all the players that we are getting have come through without an injury apart from concussion and recovering from a hammy. Here's hoping that any further rep games see us come through unscathed. I dont want to be entering 2027 with a bunch of excuses referring to who we haven't got available.

Dolphins first contact in defence was crap, roosters went through them at ease yesterday, easy yardage, even though they copped 50, it was basically their reserve grade side, they had plenty of players out that night..

We really need Metcalfe to have a big off season. His first injury free off season for a while. Hopefully our physios and S&C can work their magic (I wonder if they’re changing under young?)

To me Metcalf is the key to our attacking game which we have lacked for too long. Him with Nikorima in the halves spots should improve us so much more than having Kyle and Atko and having a competent full back like Drinkwater chiming in it will be incredible. I hope this becomes a reality we have all been waiting for. We know how good our forwards are so a good balance all round. I'm also thinking that Holmes will be great for us next year.
The other clubs in 2026 issue is nearly over - a surprise ending could be on the cards.
Other Clubs in 2026 news from overseas, Wakefield Trinity beat Wigan Warriors to make the Super League grand final. Even though Wigan had won 16 games straight in the regular season, it wasn't good enough to beat the outsiders. Wakefield were considered massive underdogs but won convincingly 33-6 - a real upset. Warrington, coached by Sam Burgess just beat Brad Arthur's team Leeds 14-12 which continues Arthur's bad form in trying to win a premiership. So the Super League 2026 grand finalists will be Warrington Wolves v Wakefield Trinity - No St Helens or Wigan or Hull KR for a change.

What would it be like to be a Panthers fan - just amazing I'd say? They have won the Jersey Flegg and NSW Cup Grand Finals and very much likely to win the NRL Grand Final in 2026. The past decade and a half belong to the Panthers that's for sure. We did have our special time in history but in the modern game of league, the Panthers win it hands down.

I think with what will be happening with the Panthers over the next year we will start to see them not being the dominant team they once were, its just too difficult to stay up there year after year, makes you wonder about winning 11 in a row eh !!! Yes I know different times, but still no one will ever repeat that effort.
