The Fox sports dude said Dragons may be interested in Nathan Brown (the 29 year-old dud who can no longer make it into the Eels first grade team). Could someone please send him the memo that the Dragons no longer care about the opinion of Fox Sports when it comes to retention and recruitment?

I saw that. Fox sports reported he was "linked to the Dragons". When getting into the article, it was in fact the Fox sports reporter who linked this fringe first grader with the Dragons. Not even a peep from the club itself. As
Morgan said, "no respect at all". Fox Sports reporters believe they can make recruitment and retention decisions for the Dragons.

I wish they'd start promoting Angus Crighton and/or Matt Lodge to the Dragons. Brown is player no other clubs want, will be on the wrong side of 30 next season, so Fox sport is merely being logical. Singing him would fit perfectly with Griffin's recruitment strategy.

Did you see yesterday Reserves game against Mounties ? We lost 41 - 40 Sullivan actually scored 2 tries kicked 6 from 7 bottom line we lost and half the team has aspirations of playing 1sts. Not under my watch. Hunt has been a standout for us this season and I personally cannot believe people on this forum continue to discredit his efforts want to move him to hooker or now ship him off to another club. I may be old fashioned but this bloke is our current club captain and after round 12 was leading the Dally M. I find it incredible that people although entitled to their opinions would be even contemplate removing our club cpt would benefit the team, do you see any other club doing the same? Never will happen its just an unwritten law. His only negative stat has been missed tackles and it took 14 rounds for the coach to realise that the opposition was running at him so after watching SOO 1 and how Qld protected him against this game plan low and behold we put an enforcer next to him and he goes from missing 5 tackles a game to 1 against Souths. His stats indicates he is having a blinder season he is ranked 3rd for 40/20 kicks, ranked 7th in line break assists , ranked 3rd for try assists , has made 38 line breaks and ranked 5th for most kick metres. I understand everyone wanting our young stars like Sullivan and Sloan to be starters but they are simply not good enough to do so especially in their defence. Reserves and U20 the emphasis is on attack but to become a 1st grader you need a good defensive game. Just my view.

IMO he's only been really good in the last 4 or 5 rounds becasue he was trying to do too much. But age is the crux of the situation. Sullivan is 21 and Hunt is 32.

Hunt has played well. No doubt. I'm not one who has disparaged his efforts. I just feel Sullivan's time has come. Getting rid of Hunt would definitely be "a year too early" rather than "a year too late" but isn't that a good thing, according to Wayne Bennett?
