News Ltd is reporting Gold Coast want Hunt and want him a from next year.

If they are paying 100% of his salary, I saw let him and spend big on a few gun forwards. Like Haas and Angus Crighton. I have confidence in Sullivan and Amone behind a formidable pack even though I know they muffed their one chance.

If Klemmar comes onto the market as early as this evening, how much do ya'll think the club should pay for him? 650K a year for 3 years for me.

It may have been a photo finish but I think I just beat you:giggle:. Like I'm going to do with the tipping this week.

Apparently a few clubs want him for next year if possible. Nothing confirmed but it makes sense. He wants a 3 or 4 year deal to include next year. I'm not a critic of Hunt. I think he's a good player but I'm still hopeful about the Sullivan-Amone combo. Behind a few good props making metres the entire 80min, I think they'll be fine. Maybe not the superstars we hoped they would be but at least decent NRL players.

I'm going to try this week in regards to tipping and I read the GC Bulletin newspaper at home this morning. Hunt has been our best player this year. Sad to see him go if my information is correct that because of salary cap issues we won't be able to offer him what he is seeking. In saying that it would be disastrous to have your combo take over the reigns in 2023.

Behind the pack on the books for next year, a catastrophe. But need to spend Hunt's money on some decent forwards.

Personally I think Hunt has been guilty of trying to do too much himself this season. It's purely hypothetical because no one knows what would have happened if he tried to set others up rather than try to do it himself. But it's just the feeling I have.

If true, probably a big contributing factor to Amone's stunted development this year.

I honestly don't see Klemmar as a plodder. I rate him in the top 10 props in the comp. Not very skillful but very effective in taking the ball forward for a lot of minutes each game. We have JDB and Bird to provide skill. Need some raw metre-making power.
