Who are they? Hunt, Bird, Lawrie and ........? I would say Woods but he hasn't been in the team for several rounds.
I'm afraid to say Amone so you did pick the 1st 3 correctly. The issue here is the defensive line setup every man and his dog knows to run at the playmakers Hunt and Amone but we allow that to happen. Remember Soward? Well Bennett being a smart coach put him in the defensive line with a minder it was Beau Scott and Nev Costigan job to ensure that they shielded him and we won a comp. But we have not changed ours. I personally would move JDB next to him as he is our best defensive forward and ask the other non tacklers to pick up the slack left by moving him to protect our playmaker
Bird should be an interchange utility or not in the 17. It's absolutely unacceptable for a second rower to be missing so many tackles. Until Su'a is back, needs to be Sims and Gosiewski starting in the second row.

That makes sense. Of course he shouldn't run it every time he gets the ball but why would he run so little when it's the best part of his game?
See he plays, when allowed to, what we call eyes up footy, in other words playing what is in front of you. Now that's great to have that natural attacking ability and the ability to beat your opponent 1 on 1. The negative side to that is that you need to have support players running off those plays. At the moment there are no such combinations in this team without Sullivan and Sloan being in the 17. They know each others play know when something is on. When he runs and steps he reminds me of a young Benji Marshall but as I can see nobody else is on the same page and left like a shag on a rock. Combinations both in attack and defence are equally important in my view

Agree but also disagree. In my view according to the stats Bird and Sims should be on the bench. I was hoping Sims would rise to the occasion with Sua missing and playing against his new team mates . His stats were ordinary again 8 runs for 70m and made 24 tackles he won't be playing SOO this season

When the team had so little ball and Sims spent a large part of the game on the sideline, 8 runs for 70m and 24 tackles doesn't sound that bad to me. Certainly not "good" but not so bad.

True we only had 40% of the ball because we coughed it up every third set in possession. Sims has had his on field time greatly reduced only played 43 min yesterday played 80 against the Tigers, even off the bench against the Roosters he played more minutes than yesterday puzzling to me especially if he wasn't injured

Bizarre stuff. Maybe you have some idea but I can't understand it at all. Make Sims play 80min and keep a spot on the bench for J. Hunt or M. Molo or someone who might not see any game time.

It's a head scratcher for me. The only other time he played less was upon his return from injury he is an 80 min player so there has to be an issue that we are not aware of

Hard to believe Griffin would be so unprofessional as to let any personal animosity get in the way of team performance but I'm having trouble reading it any other way.

Well confirmed last night BIRD has re-signed. Now let's see how he goes from now on
Just after his worst game yet. I just hope the Griffin doesn't plan to use him in the forwards. At least not starting in the forwards. Maybe he would go ok coming off the bench.

Personally I was against this but if the club is willing to throw a mil + a year at Munster with Sullivan, Amone and Hunt already on the books, I guess it has a lot of salary cap space to work with.

Saved the good news until his worst game yet.

Well he is starting in the pack with our props being JDB and Molo. Sims to lock Amone starting Sullivan off the bench. He signed for 2 more years with 3rd year option supposedly on $550k a year. It's a must win game against the Titans and I will be there

I don't know about a better all-round player but your man Gosiewski is definitely a far better second rower!
Well Griffin has decided he is in his plans for 2 more years with an option for a 3rd year allegedly on $550k a year. Moved him out of 5/8 which I agree with, its time to test Amone in 1sts and against the Titans he will have his chance to show us if he has what it takes to cement a run on spot.

He got away with it in the Anzac game due to the strong first half but are you going to storm down to the sheds at halftime and give Griffin a verbal kick up the ass if things go badly, which I expect will happen if the run on team doesn't change to the one selected today.

Agree about Amone.
