I dont see what some others do in this bloke. Big.. with little else. We can do better. See what new bookends Flegg bring us next season.
Charge forward, make metres. NAS, Burgess and others have little skill. That's the kind of prop Bennett likes. Big, go forward consistently and not cost a whole lot.

When was this? Then get on with it and recruit some big bodies and an edge forward to replace the fine Tariq Sims. If we can get David Fifita on a reduced wage.. take him. I am certain a good attack coach will revive the best in the big fellar.

Don't discount other props from Flegg at least being given development deals. Get their defensive attitude right and any number of that Flegg team could make it in first grade.

Fifta would make a good aquisition but I think I'd prefer Angus Crighton.

But not registered by the NRL due to salary cap issues.
Makes not a jot of difference as our useless FO are all talk about picking up 'a couple of big bodies'. If they were there'd be something concrete by now. Hey, you dills other clubs are swooping on all the decent players left.. leaving us with only crumbs.

Hopefully they have something in mind but I'm not very confident.

20 games, 1 try assist, 1 linebreak assist, 25 run metres + 34 tackles per game

This is the sum total of McCulloghs season. Ranked 15 out of 16 hookers by Sporting News. Yet he insists he is still first grade standard. The guy is delusional.

There's always movement of contracted players in the off season. I'm especially interested in Luke Thompson at the Dogs. Talk is they were trying to get rid off him last season due to salary cap issues. Couldn't because they wanted interested clubs to pick up all or almost all of his inflated salary said to be over 900k a year. The salary cap issues for the Dogs have only gotten worse. Luke Thompson on around 600k with the Dogs paying around 300k would be a coup for the Dragons.

Small for a prop at 102k. Didn't the Poms push this bloke as the worlds best prop before he came to the NRL. Certainly his stats for '22 dont read that way. I describe them as no better than moderate to good.
By comparison our own Blake Lawrie beats him hands down in almost every stat, bar tackle efficiency. Block even off loaded too.. 5 times. I'd not be surprised if he was rated among the top 15 props for this season. If he can triple those off loads next season he will be rated even further up the ladder.

Wasn't he injured or suspended for most of last season?

It's official! The Dragons have secured the signature of the wooden spooners reserve grade hooker for 12 months but Andrew McCullough plans on fighting for his spot as the run on hooker......
Lets call it, "the bold vision of Anthony Griffin".

Liddle and McCullough in the top 30! That might be enough to make us premiership favourites.

This is a bit behind the times. We have already extended Burns and hearing Woodsy has exercised his PO for '23. Ofahengaue is staying put and you reckon that Uncle Nick wont try to tie up Joey Suaali with rugby yawnion sniffing around. Have already backed Jordan McLean to finish his career with us, but why no Addin Fonau-Blake on the list. Hearing he is also a free agent.
Where did you hear about Burns? No surprise about Woods. Not as if any other clubs are lining up for his signature.

What a buy. I mean this is what are once proud club has come too. Couldn't even make the run on team for this year's wooden spooners and like a thief in the night we outsmart every other club to grab this prized signature. This clearly shows us all what the current mindset of our club and coach . Unless we get that prop we so desperately need perhaps liddle will be playing against his old team in round 25 for our 1st wooden spoon as a joint venture.
