I think he or Feagai are going to train @ctr, because who else is going to cover Suli and Val? Literally noone..
But it would be super sweet for our chances of someone like an Allan or a Lawrie who we have almost written off in terms of a Top17... really exceeded expectations and gave us an extra weapon we didnt think we were gonna have.. tbf we were excited about Allan before his injury (though our options were limited at the time).

way better imo.. fast nippy smart 6 (maybe 7 down the track), I always compare him to dearden to give u a feel for how he would fit. But seems like sharks r playing hardball so far on 2025.. but must be costing him a fair bit to stay there another year.

Go watch the sharks vs storm Round 10 game from this year when it was Atkinson and Brailey in the halves! He picked up 6 dally m points.
Then go watch the Sharks vs Knights Golden Point game from this year, he won them the game on his own then as well.
He’s very fast, underrated ball playing and decent kicking game with huge upside. Reminds me a little bit of Dearden. I’d love that signing. Still only 23

dunno why the sharks r being such turds either, I mean its great depth for them.. but they have Kennedy, Dykes, Puru and Ison, they dont need Atkinson who isnt even in their starting 17.

If we have signed him for 26 that would make things so much easier in agitating for a release, we can offer him way more in 25 contract as opposed to the sharks
There has to be question marks on Kennedy and Hynes, Fitzgibbon might be worried about how they might perform and obviously doesnt want to release Atkinson, if i was in his shoes i wouldn't either

Think the Sharks might end up regretting signing Hynes stil 2028. Got a bit overzealous during his Dally M season and extended him on huge money.
He’s not really an elite halfback and he’s not really a top 8 level Fullback. Form has waned massively the last 18 months.

Still not sure if we have Atkinson for 2026.. from Atkinsons perspective... its not as tempting an offer if 2025 isnt included, as the sharks can probably offer something more reasonable for 2026 onwards.. and this might be their ploy to get him to stay... id suggest we need to actually 'lock him in' for 2026, and then we can take another crack at the release...
