There could be players we dont expect who want to leave... or maybe we lose some of those juniors (cant keep em all)... but at some point in the next 0-12mths, I would expect Rava, Lawrie, RFM, MMolo & Fifita to move on.. its all about timing and finding them opportunities... and this assumes that at some point Ravalawa & Lawrie are more open to the idea of a move.

Mike Molo, RFM and Fifita are off contract in 11 months. Fifita has a chance but I doubt his ability/motivation. The other 2 are gone.

I am so sick of reading all the media negative crap. Dragons wooden spoon. Halves no good coach is being poached. Broncos so much better now with Hunt. Dragons will be no good after loosing 2 state of origin players.

Like the sentiment but Flanno has to play Illias and LKT as 1/2 and 5/8. Someone from above has to make him do it. If that doesn't work out, Illias and Gutho halves, Sloan fullback. Enough of the nepotism BS. Flanno said Kyle was recruited to play No.14 coming on at hooker.

Completely correct but he's going to start the season in first grade. Better get used to it.
Apparently some rival clubs still looking at poaching LKT. It's a major worry because you know how hard it will be for him to force his way into first grade no matter how well he plays in the lower grades.

LKT has played 2 first grade games, be patient with him. All 3 will battle it out for the halves position, best players win out. Flanno snr isn't going to risk his own coaching career by picking Kyle if he's performing poorly &/or to the detriment of the team. He isn't stupid, he's won a premiership through rebuilding a club. He knows what he's doing & deserves a bit more respect from fans.
Flanno says he's keeping the 30th spot free, mentioned he has until end of June to fill that spot. He also indicated that clubs usually keep that spot free for any juniors/younger players who impress & want to upgrade to a top 30 spot.

I'm patient. Just putting it out there that I hear some other clubs are trying to poach him. Maybe I'm going a bit overboard with him. As you say, 2 first grade games. One off the bench and didn't get much game time. Really only 1 game. But if other clubs are trying to poach him, shows they see something in him. Might force the Dragons hand to take a gamble on him with a big contract. Or big for a 19 year-old with only 1 first grade game.

I guess the recruitment of Illias means the club is no longer interested in Tyrone Wishart.
Yea, he's a good prospect but I wouldn't be breaking the bank for him. I mean we'll defs offer him a good contract but if he's chasing the $$$ already that's a bad sign for a rebuilding team like ours imo.
Illias is only 2 year right, so this season & next season. We can still get Wishart but it was very unlikely we'd get him for this season so Illias is an okay punt for now.

I think Illias goes ok. He might surprise a lot of people. But if he plays well, it will surely mean the end for any possible pursuit of Wishart. Also depends on how Kade Reed goes in the lower grades. If he is the one Flanno sees as a long-term halfback.
If Illias plays well then it's an awesome value deal for us. Hope he plays with a bit of a chip on his shoulder, an FU to souths lol

One of the good forwards you mention who is on a supplementary contract moving into the top 30 and another young player, not necessarily a forward getting a supplimentary contract. Or leave the space vacant until the season has started.
I agree with you about his ability. He goes ok. But the Dragons have forwards who will struggle to play first grade on the books already. Fifita, Mike Molo and I think only one of Lawrie, Frank Molo and Sele will be first grade regulars. Then a bunch of young players and I think more on supplimentary contracts. Don't need more. If the Dragons still have salary cap money to spend, better off front-loading some players and have more money to spend next year.

The scribe virtually said that his joining automatically makes the horses premiership faves. In seven bloody years he never took us to a final let alone a title. If he had a best he is now well passed it. They will find this out pretty soon and regret their decision.
Really good interviews. I wasn’t !00% on Gutho when I heard we were going to sign him as I am such a fan of speed especially since masters sprinting has been my sporting background. However, the way he has embraced the opportunity, the commitment he showed in the run and the way he speaks about his intentions to bring out the best in himself for the club I am right behind him and will give him my full support.
